Friendly staff and good breakfast! The hotel has its own car park which they do not charge for, unlike some these days. |

Quiet location; comfortable room; polite staff;good breakfast overall (despite 'quibbles' below); clean rooms Breakfast 'quibbles'- toast rather cold(not freshly cooked); no orange juice - waiter apologised, but none left (at 0900hrs) - Couldn't someone have simply got a couple of litres from a nearby shop to 'tide over' ? 'Muzak' rather loud - too aware of it in our room filtering up through floor from restaurant below (Room 11) |

We know the hotel and always fin it easy and comfortable. Parking outside good. Curious electrical arrangement in room with cables hanging from ceiling. No coffee table (which was there when we were there before) so had to put things on the floor. |

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Comfortable, spacious bedroom with nice bathroom and view of garden - very quiet and calm considering its close proximity to the bustle of Leeds centre. The restaurant is slightly dated and stuffy but breakfast was excellent and there are other dinner options locally. Would certainly go back. |

The ambience and character, the quality of the staff. A great change from the modern characterless city hotels. Liked the fact we could open the windows, especially in the bathroom. We liked the fantastically comfortable huge bed. It was quiet and surrounded by trees. |

Quiet hotel not far from the Headingly campus of Leeds Met university and near to cricket ground. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were polite and helpful. Parking outside the hotel. Room was a little dark, could have done with a central light rather than lamps. We ate in but would not do this again as meal was table d'hote and although nice was small portions so not good value for the money paid. One room upgraded as over booked on twins. |

The staff were friendly and the hotel ambiance was cosy and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were excellent. The breakfast was of a very high standard. The hotel was well positioned for eating elsewhere and for shopping in town. Yes it was very cold all over the hotel except the resteraunt in particular the bedroom. The evening meal was satisfactory but lots of waiting for it. Shortage of staff maybe on bank holiday weekend. Wouldn't have dinner there again. Too much fat on lamb-too much salt in soup. |

Large room Was not a doble bed as booked, just 2 singles pushed together - not good at all. Very tired and in need of renovation. Shaver socket in bathroom did not work. Clock/radio was broken. Very old and small TV. |

This is not my first stay here, and I am still impressed by the level attention given to small detail, their willingness to accommodte my dietary requirements (notice required) the room and particularly the bed are a real godsend at the end of a tiring day Was just a little cold on this occasion and another guest had nabbed the portable heater ahead of me !!! |
