Beds very uncomfortable and no heat in the rooms Only electric Fire
The location was excellent and the food very good.
A pet moan of mine is that this, and other hotels I have stayed in, insist on serving a solo traveller with a one pot cup of tea at breakfast. I need 3 cups to start the day and too often there is not a bigger pot available.
The Bar was a disgrace dirty and simply one of the worst I have ever been in.
Conveniently close to our friends with ample shops nearby. The freshly made breakfast was value for money.
Good location good parking
Bedrooms a little tired
good-sized room with Abbey views - nice breakfast - lively bar
industrial vacuum cleaner operating while having breakfast
The friendliness of the staff are outstanding
Lovely friendly Inn right in the centre. Lovely atmosphere and would recommend definitely. Decent pub grub and good breakfast choices. Everything within walking. Enjoy.
In a lovely town. A high standard of accomodation for a very good price
Nothing really but the car parking is a little confusing.
staff are friendly food is good, the place is very clean
Ana the Manager made us feel really at home and nothing was too much trouble for her or her staff. Excellent customer service. Well done Ana.
Nothing I thought it was great value for money.
The full English breakfast was fantastic
closing the bar at 10pm!
Pretty much everything!! Lovely staff
Needs a lick of paint, and Last Orders at 2145 was a bit of a shock
Good price. Clean. Comfortable. Good breakfast.
Even though there were 20+ people in the bar last orders called at 9.45 travelled nearly 300 miles to meet old friends and catch up, booked a room so I could have a few drinks, couldn't beleve they closed the bar so early.
good location.fit for purpose..
bar closed early, last orders at 2200hrs.was in bar with 8 old comrades having drinks in memory of one who had passed on.for a hotel the bar should be open later..usualy not a problem for hotels elsewhere..lost revenue...few hundred quid went over that bar...
Room clean and tidy. Facilities good. Location good. Car parking good.
Bar closing at 2200 hrs
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Rooms excellent value with good beer in the bar and food in the restaurant.
Very poor value, lots better places to stay nearby that cost less and you can get much better rooms. Won't be back!
-good location -sizeable double room & good shower -good breakfast variety
-noise from pub -room was too hot & no way to control temp in room
Pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, good breakfast. I stay there whenever I visit Sherborne as it is good value for money and ideally located
Excellent telephone manner while booking even before we arrived ! On arrival , Anna ,the manager made us so very welcome....and is a perfect front of house representative for Marstons ! All the staff were extremely efficient and friendly ...it was obvious that there were many regulars enjoying the good surroundings....Although we were with local friends for dinner....breakfast was a joy ....the interiors were clean, comfortable ,warm + well furnished....
Very little........maybe some sound between rooms if people were noisy..... You need to enjoy the sound of the Abbey bells....
As Mother & daughter we appreciate when we can have a twin room. The room we had was quiet because it was facing the rear and so did not hear much of the pub crowd below.
The room was icy cold but probably because it was over the arch and a heater was in the cupboard which after the first night we decided to use.
It was clean, neat, comfortable. In reach of all the shops, station. I was very impresses Thank you
It was close to everything Station and shops
