The room, parking, Food, and the helpful staff.
Breakfast very fresh and tastey, but portions small
The staff is wonderful, the accommodations were excellent. Thank you Half Moon Inn.
The friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food/breakfast and room more than made up for the terrible nights sleep!
The Abbey chimes/ bells ringing all through the night - i barely slept the 1st night, do we know why they never stop?
Staff very good and friendly. Rooms clean and spacious. Food was very good, especially liked the freshly cooked breakfasts All facilities worked. Location in Sherbourne was very good. All in a very enjoyable stay
Very good location and friendly staff. Good rooms.
The breakfast was basic and not of a brilliant quality, all of the toast came to us Luke warm
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the booking in and out was simple. The food was delicious and excellent value for money and location is perfect. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay again.
The way the staff go out of there way to make your stay the best,The breakfast is outstanding,The evening menue is brilliant and great choice.
The Hotel is centrally situated in Sherborne and provides good clean rooms and a great breakfast. The Pub food is excellent also
Was happy with everything
Very unruly in the bar.
The people are really friendly and helpful, the room was really spotless,
The Halfmoon is directly opposite the Abbey, on Tuesday evening they have bell ringing which goes on for an hour and a half
Ideal location in the heart of Sherborne opposite the Abbey. Good size bathroom and quite comfortable. Value for money.
The quality of service was very good. Anna who checked me in and looked after me during my stay was excellent.
Free parking close by good breakfast good dinner in pub
Towel rail in bathroom broken generally in need of update TV not set up apprpriately for bed
Friendly staff Nice town - convenient stopping off point on our journey from Kent to Cornwall
Would benefit from refurbishment No lift
Center of tow so easy access to all. Staff VERY pleasant.
The room was small. We slept front of property so was noisy. The room is dated. Bathroom in room 8 the toilet is ridiculous as you cannot sit on the toilet without your knees touching the radiator.
room very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the food excellent
Maybe noisy at night but only to be expected as a popular pub
The staff members, especially Anna, are a pleasure. The room in the back of the establishment was quite and we heard nothing of the thriving pub which fronts on Half-Moon Street. It is an easy walk from the train station.
Good location in centre of Sherbourne. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good.
Noise! Extremely noisy on both nights as bedroom overlooking the front where people sat outside drinking. Noise level did not reduce until nearly 1.00 am. Bedroom in real need of re-decoration. Looked as if it had been partly prepared to be decorated! Towel rail gone and wallpaper not in good order.
Clean comfortable room, not too small. Bathroom was a very good size and beautifully appointed. Food in the evening was lovely and breakfast satisfactory.
Water in the shower wouldn't come hot, lukewarm at best.
Contacted 'Half Moon' several times beforehand to check suitability of rooms for our wedding guest party which included two young children. Staff couldn't have been more helpful which continued throughout our stay. Very much appreciated!
Single room perfectly adequate but lacked character.
Price and pub style accomodation.
Too much noise from bar below.
location breakfast parking staff cleanliness
bathroom had slight damp to ceiling and decor was fairly dated.
No sleep whatsoever due to TV crew filming right outside the window- blinding lights and intolerable noise almost all night. Not hotel's fault but perhaps a warning would have been nice.
Food was good, location excellant
very expensive, paid for a superior room, worst supoerior room i have ever stayed in the room was tiny, hot and had mold in the bathroom swith peeling paint. Certainly not worth the £87 spent on it
Staff and breakfast
We stay on a Saturday night, it was very noisy as the bar shuts late. We stayed in room 1 which is just above the bar on the front with the street noise as well. It was my worst night sleep in a hotel. Bed to small and not good.
