Amazing food, great location (very tranquil), friendly staff, clean and stylish rooms

The bar ran out of a few different spirits, making our after-dinner nightcap less enjoyable. Our room was the smallest and got very hot. But these are very small gripes!

Luxurious, spacious rooms, beautiful decor at a very good price. Excellent restaurant, friendly, efficient staff with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Location is good for a range of rural attractions but it is also easy to get to the coast.

The room was spacious,well equipped,very clean, well maintained with a hint of luxury. The restaurant was segmented into a few rooms as well as the main bar area, breakfast was probably one of the best, high quality and expertly cooked and presented. Dinner was well presented, quality food but somehow we expected more flavour/wow factor in the meats selected, that said we do a lot of fine dining. For our second evening meal we had two starters which were fabulous for flavour, presentation and total enjoyment.Staff very pleasant and willing.

Wines were expensive for what they were so didn't try them.

Staff were efficient and friendly Room was extremely comfatable. Bathroom was bright and water piping hot. Parking adjacent to room. Food fantastic.

Main bedroom a little small and insufficient lighting.

Excellent location, room and food and all the staff very helpfull and friendly I highly recommend and hope to return in the future

minor point I stayed in room 6 and a towel ring beside wash basin would be handy

Staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. Food was excellent. Room perfect and included music system. Bed extremely comfortable. Rooms set apart from Half Way Bridge and very quiet. Would definitely go back and highly recommended.

Th decor, the food ( especially the excellent breakfasts) the setting, the staff and the relaxed yet smart atmosphere - it was very good quality and I would be delighted to stay here again, just in a different room.

The bed was too short and as it was a sleigh bed it was an issue. My husband who is not especially tall slept very poorly and even I found myself restricted by the length.

Very friendly welcome - rooms are lovely with beautiful views and very well appointed. Excellent food with cosy and traditional atmosphere.

Only criticism is that, as the tea and coffee in the rooms is in cupboards, it would be good to have a light in them!

Feel of the place, intermit

Beautifully furnished room, with good bathroom. Cosy bar and excellent food - both evening meal and breakfast. Efficient and friendly staff.

The pub is right on the main road, so there is some traffic noise, but you don't notice this in the bedrooms, which are set apart from the main building.

Very nice accommodation. Excellent staff. And delicious food. Would highly recommend.

Everything

The location was excellent for walking, but also for historic houses and villages to visit. The food was good and the bar area and staff were welcoming.

Would have preferred a larger room or, at the very least, more electric sockets! But overall an excellent stay. Many thanks.

Everything was so nicely done. From the furnishings in the rooms to the service and food in the bar/restaurant.

A lovely Hotel with very friendly atmospher, helpful staff and great food nice rooms with everything you need for lovely break, Hope to return soon.

The way the staff sorted out the lack of a twin room, it was being refurbished, and gave us two double rooms. One a lovely superior room. The food was also excellent.

Friendly, efficient staff. Very pleasant room (in former stable block). Food for evening meal absolutely top class and a superb cooked breakfast. All round excellence.

We liked the facilities and the position. The restaurant was excellent too and just a short walk from room. Staff all very friendly.

The staff were fantastic and really made you feel at home...nothing was too much to ask. We loved how the accomodation was laid out and it felt like a home from home. We also loved how you could just pop into the Inn to pick up DVDs or CDs for a quiet night in the room Food was excellent and meals taken in the restaurant were very relaxing...even with our 10 month old son. We would (and have) recommend it to eveyone!

The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming.The twin room we had was very spacious, quiet and decorated very tastefully. The bed was definitely the best we had slept in. The added touch of chocolate in the room on arrival was Also very nice. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and service was excellent. Will definitely return when in the area.

Could of done with a few more clothes hangers in wardrobe

La decoración rústica. Habitación y restaurante muy bonitos. El desayuno abundante y bueno. El personal amable. Se lo recomendaría a cualquier persona que no tenga problemas de movilidad.

El hotel tiene el indicativo de 'adaptado personas de movilidad reducida' y es absolutamente falso. Pues la habitación tenía un peldaño de entrada de unos 30 cm de altura. Para llegar desde la habitación al restaurante, donde también se sirve el desayuno, hay dos tramos de gravilla de piedras grandes y sueltas. La entrada al restaurante tiene dos peldaños y es muy estrecha. Afortunadamente llevamos una silla de ruedas manual aparte del mío, que es eléctrico y tiene 63 cm de ancho y con el hubiera sido imposible moverme por el hotel. Menos mal que viajaba con tres personas que han hecho un enorme esfuerzo para poder desplazarme por el hotel a pesar de todas las dificultades. Se le debe quitar el indicativo de ´adaptado personas movilidad reducida' a este hotel.

We stayed in the converted barns, very comfortable. An excellent country Inn. The food, ale and wine selections are very good. It was a short walk between the barn rooms and the Inn across the lane.

Lovely refurbished suite, charming staff, delicious food, peace and quiet.
