Adjacent pub restaurant
Went out of their way to cater for myself despite my late arrival.
Very pleasant and exceptionally helpful staff. Picturesque and peaceful location
Very nice room, large clean comfortable, light and airy.
Evening menu fairly limited Morning breakfast only one option of juice at £2.00 per glass additional cost Sound proofing between rooms poor- (could hear conversations innadjacent room)
Rooms were quiet and away from the busy road. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Good Wifi which was helpful as mobile coverage is poor in this area. An excellent breakfast
The pricing of the restaurant meals is about 10-15% above what it should be even allowing for the area.
I had a small group of guests visiting the area, including a lifestyle journalist who was rather taken by the ambience. with our working team, we agreed this was a gem of a stay in the midst of beautiful English countryside. So if it passes the test of working journalists who are used to staying in all manner of luxury, it passes out test. The GM, Billy and his team really made a huge effort to make us comfortable, attend to the needs of our guests and their itinerary. Dinner and breakfast were very good. All enjoyed their stay. Wifi, unlike some other properties in the area that we have experienced, is quite adequate. For an even better experience, the larger rooms add a more luxurious feel, but all rooms seem well appointed. Very peaceful and the garden 'courtyard' is a lovely place to sit and chill. A big thank you to the team
Location is not to everyone's liking but for our purposes within hitting distance of where we needed to go - Arundel, Goodwood, etc., absolutely fine. The name Halfway Bridge is quite apt Just need to get one's head around the separate accommodation building from the main reception/pub dining area. But this has benefits.
service - professional, friendly and helpful

Rooms were delightful - cool and calm!
The comfort and cleanliness of the room - The friendliness and attentitiveness of the staff made our stay a real celebration. We also rated the breakfast and restaurant food for dinner as terrific! Look forward to going back one day!
For us there was nothing to dislike!

A lovely location with really well-equipped rooms set away from the main building for ultimate peace and quiet - and a delicious dinner.
Nothing, it was all lovely
We enjoyed our 1 night stay. very peaceful. Lovely spacious superior room. Bathroom very clean and hooks on back of door so often missing in other hotels. Great bathroom shampoos and soaps. Very helpful staff and of course a good breakfast.
Coffee quality could be improved and my eggs were over done. But these can be addressed.
This place is a real gem, with sumptuous beds, atmospheric decor and friendly staff who can't do enough to help. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
I can't fault it.
Such a spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed room. Lovely touches include cafetiere coffee and fresh milk (in the fridge), a proper hair dryer and fantastic toiletries from a local company. I stayed for business but it is definitely a place I would consider coming back to for pleasure. The pub had a lovely cozy feel about it and the staff were so friendly. Can't recommend highly enough!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and inviting. Food was excellent. We would definitely return and recommend to friends
Lovely breakfast and dinner. Staff very friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Beer, dinner & breakfast were all excellent, staff were very efficient. The pub and the rooms were very comfortable
Lovely rooms. Excellent food. Great setting.
Nothing comes to mind
We absolutely loved the halfway Bridge. Will be back! We arrived late and were greeted in a friendly manner and taken to our beautiful rooms . Breakfast was delicious .. I wish we could have stayed longer!
We had a great weekend away that was booked at the last minute on the Friday morning. Our room was luxurious. The rooms are in a fantastic setting & location - about 100m from the main hotel. The food was amazing. The staff were very attentive & catered for all our requirements. We will return later this year.
Room and Food
The Halfway Bridge is a great place to stay if you want to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the South Downs. Rooms are extremely comfortable with a lot of attention to detail. I was lucky enough to meet Amy, who was very professional, experienced on the area and make my stay very enjoyable. Truly a place to come back and recommend anyone to visit without hesitation.
Due to the location WiFi connectivity is not great.
Really good quality accommodation with friendly staff. Stayed in the stables which is tranquil and delightful.
Not a lot, the stables is a short walk (only 20m or so) so if it were raining might be annoying...however it wasn't and it's probably worth it for the location.
