Friendly welcome Clean Good breakfast
Stuffy room (15) Uncomfortable bed
Good value for what I paid. Staff were fine, breakfast was fine with good choice of cereals and full English.
Room was tired but clean. Bed too soft . Bathroom needed attention cracked tiles on floor again tired but clean.
The room was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good. Toast and tea/coffe self service.
getting cases up stairs
Location - close to Haynes Motor Museum and Fleet Air Arm Museum. Easy parking and access.
Great Location for visits to Yeovil and Haynes Museum.
Close to Yeovil and A303. Rural location and pastoral views roundabout.
good value for money. comfortable room with everything you would expect. excellent choice of breakfast and the full english hit the spot nicely
no hairdryer in the room is a bit of a nuisance a greater selection of vegetarian food options in the bar/restaurant would be good
The staff could not have been nicer, both at check in and at the bar. The willingness to provide a breakfast when we had an early start was amazing. The room was comfortable and for a family spacious
Was a little tired around the corners but not a problem
They caterer for dogs. Rooms were set out well Location good for where we needed to visit family and it was easy to find
The fridge or cold cabinet in my room was a bit noisy.
Friendly staff made our visit a lovely one, our room was spotless and a nice size, I have been in smaller rooms and paid a lot more, our breakfast was great, nice and hot, the area around the inn was beautiful, I have nothing negative to say about our stay.
lake breakfast beds
speed of service
Comfortable accommodation - the children (11 & 12) appreciated the adjoining room with a choice of beds. Plenty of space for us all. Lovely breakfast in the morning.
Quite noisy as we had a room overlooking the road.
the staff friendly and efficient.the Honey and Mustard dinner out of this world, parking excellent, easy to find.
Nothing at all.
Nice spot with picnic area by lake. Great evening menu and meal, but too much to manage! Best shower I've had in a hotel for a long time. Good beer. Friendly lady on reception.
Bar and breakfast areas a little tired,
The room was excellent very clean, god size, good value, good food, excellent menu, good range of beers and excellent cider
My seven year old son and I stayed in this hotel as a base to visit local sites, museums etc. Convenient location and easy to find. Rooms are basic but comfortable enough. Probably overpriced for what you get if I'm honest. Decent full English, if you like that sort of thing.
The whole place needs a facelift. A bit tired and grotty in places. Our rear facing room was too near a kitchen vent and so wasn't as 'fragrant' as we would have liked. I suppose if you like the smell of chips its a positive. Breakfast consisted of toast, cereal, or a full English. Some fruit would have been a nice touch!
Staff attentive and friendly
Even though it was close to the road, the bedroom was to the rear with good views over the grounds & lake. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was good.
The room was small and very hot. My main concern was that the outside stair case door to the bedroom corridor was left unlocked all night.
Nice location good food and a good bed
cut of time for breakfeast
Great Staff, good food, very clean in all areas, good Bar atmosphere and a very good set up generally.
Bar was a little small and a little boring.
The bed was very comfortable. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided in the room. It was very quiet on the night that we were there, even though the hotel was almost full. Good breakfast
We were in room 8 and it is very shabby. The room had a very strange smell as though and was unbearably hot (although it was a hot evening) with only a small window for ventilation. The curtains have splashes of paint on them and the bathroom needs an overhaul (ingrained stains on the toilet). There is a "kitchen" area which needs knocking down. The worktop has lost most of its edging leaving the bare chipboard on show. This room and possibly the whole hotel needs some attention!
That the staff were really friendly, the service was good and the food was great. The rooms were in a quiet position at the rear of the hotel. I would recommend it without reservation.
Although the hotel was clean and comfortable it could do with a little tender loving care.
lovely traditional pub with friendly staff and good facilities
