The room I stayed in didn't have a plug socket near to the dressing table and the breakfast was fried not grilled (so a little oiler than I usually like). Other than that-perfect.
The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The rooms were lovely-it felt like I was staying in a chalet. It was very clean and furnishings were colour coordinated and neutral. Very well equipped-iron and board, fridge, TV, biscuits, range of drinks, complimentary toiletries. Fantastic views to the rear-very tranquil-I forgot there was a busy road at the front.

It needs a bit of tlc - maybe just a lick of paint.
The staff were quite helpful.
17 February 2015
The bed was so soft I ended up sleeping on the floor. The sofa bed was also useless. Upstairs is so hot it was unbearable. Kitchenette= one kettle The place was extremely dirty. Don't understand why, to clean the tiny place properly would probably take 1.5-2 hours. Everything is beaten down, uncared for. Wifi was poor. We stayed in room 10.
The accommodation we had was very pet friendly with little garden. It was excellent. Halfway house is up for sale.

Scruffy bedroom,clean,but needed redecorating
It was a nice looking pub, although a little bit off the beaten track. The food was absolutely brilliant. The decor in our room was a little tired looking and could do with a little tlc, painting etc, The staff were extremely pleasant and efficient.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Ideally situated for me.
28 December 2014
Noisy heating system, uneven & spongy feel to the bathroom floor, twin beds when I thought I requested a double.
The location & plenty of off road parking. The cooked breakfast was excellent, with a certain amount of do it yourself, as in making your own tea & toast. A gluten free breakfast was catered for very well.

THE BREAKFAST THE STAFF THE ROOM ALL GOOD THANKS
4 December 2014
This time I was put in room 16. The mattress need skipping. I felt every spring and lump in the bed and as a result woke up with neck and back pains and very little sleep. Additionally there were workmen staying in the rooms around me, they were loud, slamming doors and shouting to each other until early hours of the morning so I couldn't sleep. There was no phone in the room to call reception to ask that they came up and dealt with it and as a woman on my own I wasn't about to walk past them all to go and complain downstairs at that time of night. After this experience I will not be staying again.
The staff are always very friendly. Last time I stayed I was put in the honeymoon suite (I didn't ask for it) but the bed was comfortable and the night was quiet

The annexe rooms are much nicer than the 'in house' ones

Room was very good but then I knew that as I had been before. This is why I booked. Very easy to find but beware the speed camera just outside if you are looking for it on the A37 and overshoot.

Ceiling was very low in bedroom and kept banging my head. And one of the lights was not working in the sitting room.
Everthing was was good value.
