Room was very good but then I knew that as I had been before. This is why I booked. Very easy to find but beware the speed camera just outside if you are looking for it on the A37 and overshoot.
Everthing was was good value.
Ceiling was very low in bedroom and kept banging my head. And one of the lights was not working in the sitting room.
Cheap sausages for breakfast.
Staff, food, convenience, beer, room, etc. Altogether very good.
Nice quiet room at the back Lake just behind property.
Very soft bed gave no support
Very clean room, comfortable bed, mini fridge was a nice touch as was bathroom toiletries, attentive polite staff, nice Sunday Carvery & ample sized Full English Breakfast with options for Cereal/Toast as well. Great value.
Warm welcome, excellent food, cheerful atmosphere.
Missing the cooked breakfast because I had to leave too early.
the staff were all very friendly. nice location and easy to find. the food was excellent in the bar and plenty of it. nice room and very clean. the price was very good. would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Food, staff & location
Not entirely suitable for disabled people. No accessible rooms, toilet & shower access-poor
Very friendly helpfull personal. Fairly clean and good average food. Big downside was being in a room which was boiling hot without heating on and only ok with windows open but being right by a busy Road this was a very noisy night.
To expensive for what you get.
THE FOOD WAS GOOD WITH AWIDE CHOICE ON THE MENUE
nO HEATING IN BEDROOM , FELT COLD AND UNWELCOMING.WARM ON GROUND FLOOR.
It was set out in the country but still close to Yeovil. The staff were very helpful and it was a relaxing place and very quiet.
Friendly Clean Good breakfast
Staff were friendly and efficient.
Bedroom was very functional with no attention to guest comfort ie. only one bedside light and layout really poor leaving no room for a chair to put things on. Externally the property is quite depressing.
Friendly welcome Clean Good breakfast
Stuffy room (15) Uncomfortable bed
Good value for what I paid. Staff were fine, breakfast was fine with good choice of cereals and full English.
Room was tired but clean. Bed too soft . Bathroom needed attention cracked tiles on floor again tired but clean.
The Hotel was family run, Gill was very helpful and welcoming. We stayed in the annexe which had a mezzanine bedroom and downstairs living area with conservatory. Nice and quiet, lovely views over the lake and countryside. Lovely cooked breakfasts and home cooked food in the evenings.
The room was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good. Toast and tea/coffe self service.
getting cases up stairs
Location - close to Haynes Motor Museum and Fleet Air Arm Museum. Easy parking and access.
Great Location for visits to Yeovil and Haynes Museum.
I get wary booking rooms in a pub, with drunks, noise, the 'youre not from round here' mentality. But here none of that was an issue. The pub itself is friendly and well stocked with delicious food well prepared and worth staying for. The welcome is just as warm, friendly and enthusiastic. The rooms are out the back in purpose built 'chalet' style. Large car park just for the room, meaning you can literally park right outside the room.
The chalet style was good but you have to keep the blinds closed all day just for privacy from people walking past. The only niggle.
Close to Yeovil and A303. Rural location and pastoral views roundabout.
good value for money. comfortable room with everything you would expect. excellent choice of breakfast and the full english hit the spot nicely
no hairdryer in the room is a bit of a nuisance a greater selection of vegetarian food options in the bar/restaurant would be good
The staff could not have been nicer, both at check in and at the bar. The willingness to provide a breakfast when we had an early start was amazing. The room was comfortable and for a family spacious
Was a little tired around the corners but not a problem
