The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly and accommodating very pleasant I would go again. You get what you pay for. You don't expect five star for 25 quid!! The room was more attractive than premier inn which I find dull and boring!!
The bed had only three wheels and so was lopsided. The mattress was appaling.
The place is shut down and still let us book it what a joke?
Staff were helpful. They showed where I could park for free.
Had to pay cash as machine not working this caused problems as wanted to pay on company card
We liked the location
We didn't like the room, especially considering the price. Everything looked dirty and very old.
Good cheap hotel
Parking outside restricted and on meters
Staff were freindly
The hotel didn't have our name down from booking.com , the bathroom was very gruby , the overall hotel felt dirty , I only stay the one night and I would like to never do it again
The helpful response on Saturday morning when I found there was no heat in the room. The efficent and friendly man(whom his colleague could learn a lessson or two)fixed me up with a portable electric heater.
Discovering when I returned to the hotel a plastic bag containing toiletries and medicines had been thrown out along with some expensive bodywash that was by the bin because there was nowhere in the shower compartment to hang it.Surely they should have a policy i"if in doubt, leave alone!
I booked serveral room as had family up for the weekend one of the rooms was for two adults and one infant the room they were give contained only a double room nowhere for the child to sleep, the room was also not very clean guests left immediately. the second room was meant for 2x adults and two children this room contained a double bed and a single bed the two children had to sleep in the double with one adult whilst the other adult slept on the single bed - not what I had booked but other guests did comment that the staff on reception were helpful and polite
The staff were friendly and informative. Helpful as well.
No cooked breakfast
It's a basic hotel but nice and comfortable, and felt clean as well. Staff were friendly and helpful - switched on the heating when I asked.
My room was near reception so it was a bit noisy with people coming and going.
the place was ideal for what we was doing in Halifax, the staff seemed friendly, i sent a email asking for a bath and i got that so it was perfect. ill be defiantly coming back
usually they have extra pillows and there wasn't but apart from that no problem what so ever
Nice Customer service and the staff are friendly
Furnitures are a bit out of date
Was overcharged, rooms look nothing like photo, couldnt use bath as no plug and shower didnt work. Left after one night paid for 2. Beds were dirty, radiator hanging off wall onto bed, bed broken, headboard broken. Reported it to staff who didnt care
Had to slam the door to shut it Room was freezing and poorly decorated 2 electric sockets where not working Had to hold down kettle switch to make it work Very poor quality bed with 1 pillow each and these where so thin you didn't notice you had a pillow! Curtains where hanging off the rail Main light didn't work and dimmer switch faulty and no bedside lights Bathroom very poorly designed and no bath mat Walls so thin you can hear everything outside the room.
We were left In peace.
It was absolutely freezing, with or without the heating on.
staff very helpful on check in & moved me because tv didn't work in original room. room was very clean & big for just me & bathroom was kept very clean too.
details said 400m from bus station, but it was longer than that. I had heavy luggage.
I know the owners as I have stayed a few times and have always tried to please
does need an uplift but have spoke with owners and it is in hand
Staff were friendly on check in. Location was good.
Bed was very uncomfortable. Walls were thin and could hear next door having sex in the evening and in the morning, their bed was banging our wall. One of the towels was dirty. Couldn't find the iPod dock.
The staff member/owner was friendly.
broken shower head. no bulb in bedside light. no heating on
Leaving the following morning If you are considering here give it a miss. We wont be back.
From the moment I entered the front door I realised this place did not resemble the on-line hotel I had booked. If there was an award for clever photography this place won hands down. The best part was leaving. You enter 3doors before you get to a stairwell at the top of the stairs is the reception or for want of a better description an office through a serving hatch. OK the receptionist was present but you wouldn't know he was a worker, cleaner or just a passer-by. No uniform and well the ensemble of all the staff throughout our stay was deplorable. Given the keys to our first room we opened the door to what can only be called a walk in fridge. Cold? more like sub zero. Trying to close the door and you realised it was hanging off its hinges. Cleanliness? carpets you wiped your feet upon leaving the room rather than on entering. Windows that had more draft than a wetherspoons pub. Looking out of the window through the grime you spied an old milk carton with its contents half gone amongst the cigarette ends of previous occupants who have obviously flouted the no smoking rules or failing that they were left over from an era before the ban. We complained about the cold and were assured the system was on a timer and itwas due on in minutes. So we waited, coats on, in hope. Eventually an hour later we requested a room change. Change of room to room 2 oh the heat was heaven but the room was in a worse mess than the first room. But the heat.. so we accepted the change just for the heat. We started to unpack but when we saw the condition of the cupboards and draws we lived out of our bag. Then we went out for a meal. Fed and watered we returned to find the heating not working. So again we complained only to find the reception smelt like a take away and the staff eating an evening meal. Don't they have staff facilities? Heating restored (they turn it off as you leave knowing you will be back, can you believe that? ) In short the room had a window with no handle.
It was cheap.
It was dirty, shabby, the place desperately needed modernising. The staff just couldn't care less. The carpet, walls and ceiling were horribly stained. It looked like some kind of human waste. The place was freezing cold. It was without doubt, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and that includes absolute budget chains such as etap ; at least they were warm and clean - that's the very least you can expect. Would not wish it on my worst enemy.
Close to the centre, comfortable room, friendly staff
Superb value for money
Room a little cold
