Staff were lovely and all seemed to fall in love with our little Yorkie! Very friendly hotel. Nice, laid back atmosphere and breakfast was great with staff very helpful and obliging. Everything lovely and clean.
There's not much to not like but a couple of things were 1) No room in car park for residents on Friday or Saturday night. 2) As Christians we would have liked a Gideon Bible in the room.
Reception staff friendly
Sheets and bedding not wise enough. Noise all through the night. temperature not easily contolled Car parking a nightmare, had to park on the grass.
Rooms are well appointed, warm and clean. Location is good for Hull and Humber Bridge
Reception staff lacked interest, made mistakes and seemed unconcerned. Allocated wrong room type, key did not work when I got there and a shrug of the shoulders was all the apology offered. Morning check out staff were better.
This was the venue for our daughters wedding. The staff were wonderful Every little detail was taken care of. A day to remember.
we couldn't find a fault
All excellent! Really enjoyed it. Great service, great rooms and facilities. Thank you!
Location (when I finally found it!), welcoming appearance of both the interior and exterior, nicely laid out parking area, excellent staff, interesting internal layout, lovely views of the Humber Bridge and river, very clean, classy and comfortable (if a little "cosy") bedroom and bathroom, evening meals and breakfasts in the restaurant, nice areas to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastries....Everything actually!
Hotel was great - finding it was a little difficult though. Whilst situated just off the A63 near Ferriby on the outskirts of Hull, the hotel was not visible from this road. The roadway signage at the two turnoff's for Ferriby (which is not the hotel's responsibility I hasten to add) is far from clear and the layout of the access roads and their roundabouts from these turnoffs are confusing to say the least, especially for a lone traveller, at night and without satnav. And I'm originally from Hull!!
I arrived late and tired and felt welcomed and before long was in my very comfortable room. It was helpful to be able to eat at the hotel.
The vegetarian choice in the menu was extremely limited. I had Tagliatelli which seemed to be the only main course choice. It could have been better. It was rather flavourless and not good value.
Poor Breakfast with tired looking fried eggs
breakfast was a bit hit and miss.
The most comfortable bed ever!
Clean comfortable room, great breakfast, nice staff
This is a perfect four star hotel in a nice quiet location. It is spoiled by a poor restaurant serving poor food badly cooked.
The dreadful overpriced and poorly prepared food in the restaurant.
Beautiful rooms, extremely comfortable and surprising well priced including the food, which was delicious.
staff on front desk lovely. room was nice easy to find. although we didn't have time to use gym/sauna ect was nice to know if we stayed longer we could have used them, gym looked good clean when looked through window.
room was clean except for small cobweb above bed & some near curtains. didn't get much sleep due to doors banging shut.
Really great location as it's straight off the A63 and very easy to find. The food was delicious and really enjoyed breakfast each day and an evening meal on the first night. Excellent food service also when we wanted a light snack one evening.
Only problem we had was that the room temperature was rather warm and we weren't sure how to decrease it but we just opened the window and it soon cooled down.
Easy to find, good parking close to reception area, nice room, good bathroom, helpful staff always available, good food in bar, nice ambiance, quiet, free wifi which always worked and with fast download speed, good desk light.
Room was very small: OK for one guest but would be a bit cramped for 2. Other than that, really nothing.
Breakfast was poor
The bed was comfortable and the downstairs area was lovely
The dirty earplug on the floor next to the bed, the used contact lense in the bathroom, and the room was too hot!
Very clean, well refurbished hotel. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good with a lot of choice. All together a very pleasant experience. A lot hotels n the UK could take a leaf from the Hallmark hotel
Very noisy at 3 o clock in the morning told reception next morning but fell on deff ears
Bed was very comfy and extra large. Heavenly.
Being told via phone 2 hours prior to check-in in that the hotel had not received our booking via booking.com and were moving us to another hotel. When I created a room was found!!! Saturday breakfast was poor. Undercooked bacon, over stood eggs not what you need after a night on the ale.
When we checked in, the receptionist couldn't find our booking details and took her ages to find it. I ask for a nice room with a front view and she gave me the garden view so complained and got the front view. Tv signal was poor and couldn't even watch tv, I rang the reception which took forever for someone to answer and then she stated they are having a problem. Tv wasn't working for two days!!!!
wedding was lovely food and entertainment good. facilites in toilets excellent.
couldn,t check in till 2pm yet wedding was at 1.30, would of liked to have freshened up before wedding. do think special occassion guests could check in early
The environment was refreshing by smiling faces of the entire staff
I was so disappointed with the quantity of food provided at tea time. My wife and I slipped hungry all night after spending £50 in your restaurant. your Manu list does not show a picture of the ordered food. Very disappointed on that.
