Loved the pampering,luxurious feel. Stunning gardens,excellent food. Bedroom was so hot! Could have done with a fan/air conditioning. Service was extremely pleasant but rather slow,we waited nearly 40 minutes for our breakfast to arrive,time we could have spent walking in the gardens before our departure.

The setting was ideal and the surroundings were what we were looking for. We liked the luxury offered and the attention given by the staff, who were very helpful. The room was very good and comfortable. We found somethings expensive such as drinks and the meals. Also we were surprised that there was no complimentary tea making facilities in the room and were forced to use either room service or ordering tea/coffee in the lounge area.

Reception excellent, dining room staff very good, excellent atmosphere, peaceful surroundings, bedroom very comfortable, wine list excellent and Sommelier very helpful. The room was very nice, but dirt in bath, cobwebs around bathroom mirror light, and light in hanging cupboard not working. Restaurant manager good when choosing our dinner menu, but when asked if there was the previous week's copy of Country Life, was rather off hand and gave the impression not his business. we never did find out ! Dinner prices on the high side and not certain fully justified although food was good and well presented.
