Fantastic location – warm and friendly welcome and service – thoughtful and careful attention to detail – excellent dinner and breakfast in very attractive restaurant. Can’t wait to go back!
The location was excellent with outside seating so that you could enjoy the view of the lovely village. The pub has character and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was small but well appointed and there was a separate sitting out area in the garden for B&B guests. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay with good food and drinks.
Quaintness of the hotel and it's surroundings. Helpful staff and interesting food.
Staff were most helpful and looked after us really well. A lovely place to stay in a beautiful village.
Staff who went the extra mile to ensure that guests' needs were met. Excellent cooked breakfast. Very pleasant ambience.
Lack of appealing alternative to the excellent cooked breakfast. There was Special K and museli but no croissants, fresh bread, prepared fruits or yogurt. My only disappointment really.
Standard of food was far above any pub food I've had in the past. You get what you pay for at the Hambro Arms.
Set in an idyllic little village centrally located for all of Dorset's attractions. Excellent accommodation, breakfast and meals were to a very high standard. Will definitely seek to stay again next time we are in the area.
Can't think of anything we didn't like.
The staff were very friendly and professional. The room and the rest of the pub was very clean. Lovely atmosphere and the breakfast and evening meal was delicious.
I thought that the room was a little pricey and so was the food and drinks.
brilliant and beautiful locotion, staff were friendly and helpful.we had a pleasant stay.
shower didn't work on first night, was repaired on the sat, but still tempermental, breakfast was gd on sat but poor on the sunday,
We stayed for two nights in this lovely little village pub. Chocolate box villages with all the thatched cottages up the main street. The pub was small but had great food. Very high quality local produce.
The smallest room in the place.

Excellent meals in restaurant Relaxed but attentive service
friendly, helpful staff. Food was good although limited choice, would be nice to have a new dish more often
room décor a bit dark, needed the lights on to read at any time.
Very enjoyable stay easy to reach the coast quiet
Excellent welcome. Good breakfast, (but I've had better). Nice room and comfortable bed. Staff excellent - very friendly and helpful. Very beautiful location and relaxed atmosphere.
Dinner menu too small and too expensive, so ate elsewhere. TV room needs to be made more comfortable. Apart from that - nothing, it's a very good place to stay and I would recommend it and will stay there again.
Found the mattress on bed and chairs in dining room too hard for our old joints
Rooms very comfortable, great breakfast, relaxing
Friendly welcome. Free room upgrade received. Good breakfast.
The food was excellent, the dinner on Saturday night was equal to any restaurant I have eaten in in London and was great value for money. The dining room atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The staff were friendly, helpful and relaxed whilst carrying out their role to a very high standard. As soon as we arrived, there was someone at our car helping us with our luggage which was excellent. The hotel offered free wifi which we used to great effect as the area had no mobile reception.
None of us could get a phone signal in this area and as London girls we are not used to being out of touch. But it didn't do us any harm.
The calm of the village ,lovely room lovely staff.definitely go to the abbey we were the only ones there on a beautiful summer day ,scudding clouds over the endless view . Obviously as the peasants had been moved!
Whole ambience of the Arms was so friendly && welcoming & the food - to die for!!! We felt so comfortable there!
Good rooms, great Location & Friendly helpful staff.
Food only average and quite pricey
The character of the building, the room, the restaurant and the Bar. Nice size bathroom and comfortable bed. Staff friendly and helpful.
The Breakfast was poor and not what I would have expected from this high scoring establishment which has a very good lunch and dinner menu. Full English breakfast my husband had looked a bit 'thrown together' with overcooked crispy fried egg. Tasted OK though even both our breakfasts were poorly presented and looked unappetizing. My scrambled eggs were not far off being raw and hadn't quite reached that optimum moment when they would have been perfectly done. I wasn't able to much of it. The bacon was greasy and fatty. Cereals in grubby glass jars, no fruit or yogurt on offer, no choice of juice, just orange offered and coffee from a jug on a hot plate which is how I used to serve it in the seventies! In this day and age we expect more healthy options for breakfast.
The staff were lovely, the beer was kept well, what more do you need?!
The room (Chambers) was spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff were positive. The pub décor and atmosphere good. Location very quiet in beautiful village.
Nothing if any great importance. The room was a tad small and there was not much hot water in the evening though it was fine in the morning.
