The cooked breakfast It was warm enough
Reception full of furniture/unused and no appropriate welcome which came too late and was cool. Rubbish left outside room. Room was like a heated shed, v poor quality.desperately needing an up-grade. Tea and coffee in room consisted of 1 uncovered tea-bag and cheapest coffee. The building was so insubstantial that despite those above being quiet we could hear every word and movement 3 single beds with inadequate duvets so we were cold during the night. 1 headboard detached from bed and 1 bed on top of radiator so unusable. Door to breakfast area locked so we couldn't get in and stood in pouring rain waiting. No fruit at all at breakfast. Breakfast table in accessible; had to climb over chair to get seated (and I'm tiny). Teapot for one cup only. Staff fed up looking apart from one elderly lady who never inquired if every thing was ok. Cool interaction when leaving.
We appreciated the staff, the location and the breakfast.
The room where we were was just above the room for the breakfast so it was a little loud.
The staff were excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very tasty and there was an excellent choice.
We liked everything
Noise Not very clean Smell in bedroom (mold) Everythings
Quiet and clean room. Friendly welcome. Very good value for money and easy walk into town centre (about 2.5 miles)
Thought it was a poor standard for cost. Room window was open and it was freezing the first night
Good breakfast area and excellent breakfast
Damp and tv did not work
I found dirty socks in the room , room had not been hovered, cigarette tobacco in the kettle, side lamp dusty, skirting very dusty, poor standards
The room was clean and comfortable, very good value for money and the breakfast was excellent value for money.
The room was rather cold.
Well happy with every think about the place really nice staff, BF in the morning was worth £5 each, lots of parking, shops near by for odds and sods, about a 15 to 20 min walk to main shops, lovely just walk round the city.
Toilet was a bit small for a family room
The room was spacious enough, and it was accessible for a disabled. There was parking space available.
The dining area could not be accessed by a wheelchair user. I was charged for a phone call that I never made. The noisy guests in the adjacent room could be heard at times.
Cosy room plenty for breakfast
Needs a bit of refurbishing
Hotel staff polite, friendly and welcoming.Accomodation nice and clean, full english breakfast was cooked just right.Nice and quiet, unlike some hotels we have stayed in.
Uncomfortable bed, could feel the springs in the mattress. Quite a way from the town centre but the bus stop is only a few yards away.
Really nice staff, location very good for our purposes. Although we have to leave earlier than breakfast was served, the staff had prepared a paper bag with all that we could need for the return back to London. We are pleased to recomend this guethouse,
There were so much noise from neighboring rooms during both nitghts, that it is not an obtion to use this b&b again.
location staff very nice shame hotel is closing would stay there again
Location, price, convienence
Returned on Sunday evening to find they'd packed my bag for me, even though I was staying until Monday!
Free parking，close to the college
Staff very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast room is nice. Plenty of car parking. Hotel is pleasant 15 minute walk into the centre. Excellent broadband (although doesn't reach all the rooms).
Hotel rooms need renovating. We had to move from one very small room where the plumbing must have had an issue (bit smelly in bathroom). As this was very close to where the bed was, this was a problem. Moved to the four-poster-bed room which was nicer. However, decoration was tired. Not everything worked. Nowhere to put wash kit in bathroom - not even a soap dish in the shower cubicle. Plumbing was noisy. Hotel needs dragging into 21st century.
The staff are great at this hotel - we have been going every year for 9 years and will sadly miss them when it closes in Dec. The breakfasts are freshly prepared and served quickly.
Inconsiderate guests at 4.45am - not the hotels fault though!!
Staff were friendly at breakfast and when checking in. Bed was very comfortable, single room size bigger than expected. Not a massive choice for breakfast but I was happy, omelette was very nice. Spacious car park at rear very convenient. Room tidied everyday though different staff clearly put more effort in than others.
Decor was a bit tired and needed updating, some mildew in shower and on window and traffic noise loud with window open but gets quieter in the evening and I had no trouble sleeping.
Everybody is kind and the service was wonderfull
The twin beds were very comfy. The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Plenty of car parking.
The décor was tired and could do with being updated. The satellite feeding the tv was intermittent. It cost about £6 each way to get to the centre of Cambridge. Was just a bit too far to walk.
