Firstly, on arrival, we were able to park easily without having to pay, always a bonus. Next we met Paul, our host, who has a really pleasant, welcoming way about him. Then, on to the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. Absolutely immaculate and the bathroom has modern, quality fittings. Perfect. This B&B is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Stratford and convenient for everything you would want to see or do. There is also a great pub nearby - The Lamplighter - with live music at weekends. Breakfast is the choice between cereals, continental, or cooked full English. I chose the latter. Perfect again. We had a great time and this is now on our list of B&B's to re-visit. Thanks Paul. We'll definitely see you again.
We had to leave :-(
Paul was very welcoming and extremely helpful and his fresh cooked breakfast was super. We will definately consider staying again.
Great place to stay. Excellent breakfast. Good accommodations.
Super friendly welcome from owner and a great location; close to centre of Stratford with the bonus of on-site parking (limited space). Compact room had everything you need for a one-night stay. And freshly cooked breakfast (lots of home-made stuff) made it good value for money.
Room (ground floor) was quite a bit smaller than we'd expected. Toilet in a cupboard and rather weak electric shower in another cupboard. Nowhere to hang clothes except on the back of doors. Perhaps we were expecting too much?
Paul chatted with us whenever we crossed his path, e.g. On booking in, breakfast, etc. Although we were only there for one night, we will certainly return. Breakfast, made by Paul, the owner, was excellent, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Nothing we could put our finger on
Great location for the Christmas shopping- perfect for the theatre and a super home cooked Christmas.
Paul the owner takes great pride in offering a great service and that is what you get with the bonus of a great breakfast made from locally sourced local produce. Would recommend this establishment and will certainly book again when in the area.
Loved our stay, and adored the quirky character / details around the home. Paul was so friendly and welcoming and he has a fantastic dress sense...love a bow tie! Can't wait to return.
What's not to like.... some may think the rooms are small but everything you need is there, compact and spotless
Hamlet house is a typical b&b in central stratford upon avon. The house is a lovely mid terrace victorian property. A excellant breakfast, lashings of hot water, comfortable bed. The the Shakespear attractions are in easy walk as are the Theatres. Pauls knowledge of the area is unlimted and will share any of the information with his guests.
Great location and really great value. A friendly welcome and a superb breakfast!
Nothing all good
Only a few minutes walk to the attractions of Stratford upon Avon. Warm welcome from the owner. Choice and quality of breakfast. Quiet, reasonably spacious room. Interesting art. Excellent bathroom.
We only had one night there.
Location , paul was welcoming and friendly local info was great we enjoyed our breakfast fresh cook by paul .
The room was very small we were only there 2 night which was long enough in the tight surrounds we were travelling and had luggage with us but had no where to put it but on the floor were we had to walk over it .
The owner, staff, Breakfast,Location even the weather was brilliant.Great value for money and will certainly return.
Only a minor thing however we did find the room a little chilly at times due to the heating being switched on and off by the owners timer.
The owner was very welcoming and room cozy and warm. Lovely breakfast too
A lovely Victorian house right in the centre of Stratford - the landlord Paul is such a welcoming and friendly person - we will definitely stay again and I will recommend to al of my friends
Nothing - it was perfect
Hospitality, location, breakfast
Fantastic location, very comfortable, beautiful room - we really loved staying!
Proximity to rail station Helpfulness of landlord Warm room Good breakfast
No wardrobe Room smaller than expected
great location. Lovely landlord. Spotlessly clean. 8 minute walk to theatre. Stayed in twin room with bathroom facilities next door to room. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
No complaints at all. Tho recommend using the guesthouse's parking spaces that are available around the corner, rather than the two spots in front of the property (busy road and high kerb)
Helpful, courteous, friendly staff Great Breakfasts Convenient location Good value
Room a little cramped No en suite
Room, bathroom facilities and poor portions for breakfast
Our room was excellent. Lovely bed and huge bathroom. Really nice welcome from Paul our host. We would definitely come back and recommend!
Very clean and tidy, extremely friendly host who allowed us to park at the front on arriving early. We were able to put our belonging in our room prior to a short walk to the Race Course. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices
