The Hotel was clean and tidy, the reception area was warm and inviting as was our hosts. The rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of storage area. We only stayed two nights but we could happily have stayed longer. The Breakfasts were well organised and the food was very good. We did not have an evening meal, although if we ever return then we would ensure that we do. The location could be difficult for those without transport. Grange over Sands itself is ideal for those more advanced in years and the walk from town to the hotel is uphill.

The staff were very helpful and the service was excellent. It is in a lovely location near Grange with plenty of nearby country walks giving fantastic views over Morecambe Bay and the wider Lake District. The food in the hotel is excellent and there is room to relax in the bar or in the gardens. All in all a bit of a gem.

Friendly welcome from all staff. Comfortable room. Excellent food each night. Loved relaxing by the real log fire after dinner. Nicely decorated for Christmas; interesting antiques add to the atmosphere. The dog was made welcome too. We are going back for New Year's Eve

Upon arrival I received a warm welcome and helped to my room with my bags. The room was large with a huge bathroom with double shower and large bath! The bed was very comfortable and I didn't want to get out of it on either Saturday or Sunday morning. Breakfast on both days was excellent, with a selection of cereals, toasts, juices and excellent cooked breakfast. I would thoroughly recommed this hotel to anyone staying within Grange over Sands. The road up to the hotel can get very muddy and slippy at times when walking (in the dark back from the pub)!!!

It's location suited us as we needed easy access to Grange over Sands for the business aspect of our visit. Also it was convenient for us to visit the Lake District during the remaining time in the area. We very much enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to others. I would have preferred an earlier breakfast rather than 8.30 - 9.30 am and from a business point of view I think an earlier breakfast would be an advantage.

Very good secluded and quiet location whilst being close enough to walk down into the town. Food of a good standard. Reasonable value for money. We found it poor they allowed their dog to wander into the dining room from the kitchen as this is rather unhygenic especially when you found pet hairs on the plates on more than one occasion!!
