The front desk staff very professional and helpful, sorry didn't get the young girl's name but she was really friendly checked us in on arrival and out the following day, I purchased a pair of earrings from your display stand and she was most helpful.
restaurant felt cold as there was no atmosphere and the whole hotel felt void of warmth.
Cannot fault this hotel in anyway. I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and always find excellent service. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful. The meals are excellent. I would and have recomended this hotel to all my friends.
Your bar area is more like a coffee bar at a swimming pool, I like to relax in the evening and your bar stopped this, I ended up having to go out.
Staff were very helpful and let us check in early and out later than the 11am. Facilities were great too.
We though the food in the restaurant was poor
The hotel was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much.
We would have appreciated being advised that booking for dinner on Saturday was a good idea as it was much busier that evening than on previous evenings.
Room with balcony is lovely when the suns shining. Pool Sauna and Steam room very clean, staff friendly.
Poor service at breakfast, be nice if had a jacuzzi and not much else to do in local area unless you have a car or are prepared to pay for taxi's, which worked out expensive.
No air conditioning in the bedroom . The balcony was dirty and overlooked the goods in yard . The breakfast was cold too .
The restaurant, our room with a balcony and The staff were great.
The fact that smoking is not permitted even on your balcony
The bar area was too much like a cafeteria not very relaxing in the evening.
No jacuzzi but there was a big enough space for one. Unless u can swim all day (luckily we could) there's not much to do except for the gym
We loved the room. Very comfortable and modern. Bed was comfortable.good standard of cleanliness.
Can't think of any as we enjoyed our stay.
Room ok bath and separate shower
Staff very poor service seem slow and not very friendly
Staff were great
This is by no means a four star hotel - it's dated and basic and although it works for business guests, I imagine, there is no reason why you'd stay here when there are much better hotels in the area within the same price bracket. Food was ok but by no means fine dining and the experience of dinner and breakfast were most bizarre - there are no proper restaurant facilities here.
The patio doors I the room, which opened on the gorgeous courtyard. It was quiet and a stunning view.
Nothing at all.
The room was good, breakfast was good, bar service was ok. We were attending a party and the buffet was good.
Nothing everything was very good and well organised
The staff were friendly and nothing was too much for them. The staff in the restaurant went out of their way to accommodate anything you wanted. Breakfast menu was excellent.
I stay at the Hampshire for a month each Easter. This year prices were erratic, from 81 pounds per night to 171. Each day was different????? I can stay in London for 171 Pounds per night. Next year I will have to reconsider staying at the Hampshire.
all staff were helpfull and friendly we would stay with you again
The staff were amazing and we were so close to what we wanted to do eg the town zoo etc
Scrambled eggs were a little runny
Hairs on the towels
attention to detail with housekeeping could be improved
Poor food in restaurant. Noice from fitness lessons in my room.
I have been organising tennis trips to this hotel over the last 8 yrs and the staff are always brilliant. Everyone is very helpful and they go the extra mile if they can for you. The weather is always perfect as well so I don't know how they do that!
They used to have a Jacuzzi but that appears to have been removed some years ago. When you have just done a days tennis coaching then a Jacuzzi is just what your muscles need!!! Some rooms have less than picturesque views but never mind, you don't stay in your room, do you?
Food was good, & rooms spacious. We were a party of 12 who came away for a tennis weekend.
the ambience very lovely hotel gret bed and a good night sleep very clean room!
