Staff were very good, especially the breakfast team. Fried eggs were a let down, too many cooked allowing them to go hard and needing to be discarded. However fresh ones were available when asked.Poached eggs need to be cooked 2 mins more as when I had them they were underdone. I am sorry to moan, but you need to know to improve and cut down the waste you must have to increase your bottom line.

I had very comfortable accom odation and the breakfast was excellent. The choice of room service meals was good and nicely served so I was able to work in the evenings in my room. Everybody was very helpful and pleasant and it was close to where I was working.

Comfortable, large clean rooms. Excellent breakfasts. Poor customer service from reception and bar staff. Very uncomfortable bar area, not a place for a quiet drink with friends.

Staff at hotel were excellent. Probably the most helpful I have experienced! No quiet, comfortable area to sit, relax and have a drink. The bar was dominated by the tv and was not comfortable by 4 star standards. Breakfast was taken to the background noise of the local radio station.

This was my first experience of a q Group hotel. The Hampshire Court was clean, modern and meticulously maintained. My room was well equipped and nicely presented. The bathroom was excellent and perfectly clean in every way. Staff were all courteous but not intrusive. The inclusive breakfast was good and offered a wide selection. I was pleased with my entire stay and will certainly use this hotel (and the q Group) again.

Excellent sports/leisure facilities. But - the food, comfort and cleanliness of the hotel were not up to the standard I expect for 4- star. Restaurant food so-so. Restaurant appearance and room appearance pretty poor. Cleanliness not great. Room service breakfast was very poor! Asked for muesli - got given Fruit n Fibre! Twice!!

Locating the Hotel was easy using a road map and Google. On arrival we were greeted warmly and promptly by the duty Receptionist. This and his clear directions to our room set the standard for our stay. We were delighted with the room which was very clean and most comfortable; although we found the supply of coffee and sugar rather rationed. But a quiet request to a duty maid soon righted the situation without fuss. Our meals in the Restaurant were surprisingly economical and extremely enjoyable. The Staff were ;polite and helpful and we were impressed by the way that they coped with a large family gathering and children who were dining at the same time at an adjoining table. As we ourselves were visiting relatives in Lychpit, we did not avail ourselves of the hotel facilities, but from what we encountered we would expect them to be of the same high standard. On departure we were extremely sorry not to be able to accept the Receptionist's offer of extending our stay for a further night. It was most tempting ! We were disappointed that the Hotel did not have even a simple directory of other hotels in the group The map displayed near the foyer, while excellent, does not put the Hotel group in the pocket of it's patrons.

Room was very clean and the location was good. Staff were friendly and they had a nice garden. Great pools one for exercise and one for families. Spa, changing areas and showers dirty, fully booked so unable to have any spa treatments. Resturant struggled to cope with guest not attending the wedding, a number of guest were refused a table for dinner. Their own questionaire was impossible to complete as it went over the screen and you could not scole down to answer the questions.

The room and bathroom were to a very high standard, though there could have been some more milk in the room. The breakfast could best be described as warm, it certainly wasn't anywhere near hot. The breakfast experience itself was poor as someone delivering and taking away bins for ladies sanitary towels walked through the restaurant with 2 in each hand, twice. I have never seen such a thing in all my times staying in hotels and the receptionist blamed it on being an outside company. Had I have been the retaurant manager I would not have let this happen. Shocking for any star hotel, never mind a 4 star one that cost nearly £150 for 1 night.
