Breakfast They moved me room when I complained
Cold room Noise Small bathroom Size of room
Good, basic hotel which is very convenient for the station.
It is a clean hotel with new carpets throughout, recently decorated with very clean bed and bathroom. Good value for the area.
The mirror was not on the wall in the bathroom, and as with lots of hotels, nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom.
Excellent location, friendly staff and wonderful cooked breakfast
We arrived as a couple having originally booked s single room. There were no double rooms left but the owner gave us an extra pillow & duvet and did not charge us any extra. Good clean room & central location along with a very low price, I would recommend to any travellers on a budget!
Nothin not to like.
Good clean hotel. Have booked again for the summer. Fantastic value for money. An added bonus is the attached chinese restraurant, serving great food at a good price.
No hairdrier in the room
Despite running the bar for both the hotel & restaurant I was very impressed by the friendly welcome, plus a rundown of all the places to eat ! The room was both spotless and comfortable. I
Parking was available with no problem. I booked a double and it was a large room, actually a family room with a double and a single. While relatively basic it has all the comforts expected tea, coffee and biscuits, there were fresh clean fluffy towels and what i have to say was the best shower i have ever experienced in a B&B. We were given a choice of breakfast times and a code to get in if we returned after 11pm so very flexible.
The breakfast was good, though it would have been nice to have an option other than a full english for the cooked breakfast. The tea and coffee was also premade and it would have been nice to have the opportunity to have this fresh and steaming hot, saying that it was still delicious and I happily cleared my plate.
The room was clean, the bed was comfy.
Constant shrieking, foul language and even a fight broke out in the pub downstairs. Broken glass all over the floor, which hadn't even been cleared up the next day! Would never have stayed here if we'd known it was a pub!
Good Value Clean Big Breakfast Friendly Staff
Nothing all good.
Was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel, for the price I was impressed with the standard of the room, it was clean and comfortable with all the basics we required. The staff were always helpful and the Chinese buffet restaurant downstairs was excellent. Would defiantly stay here again if in the area.
excellent location and very friendly staff , would definitely return, rooms clean and breakfast was great
I was greated by very friendly staff, who were very helpful. Rooms are basic but very comfortable. Breakfast was toast or cereal followed by full english which was just what I needed before a day at the cob sales. Will definitely be staying here again..
peaceful relaxing calming friendly warm food location tranquil
not enough beds round the pool for relaxing
it was clean, friendly staff
bed was poor, comfort poor. But all the basics were in place... extreme basic.
Hotel presented as a fire trap and we did not stay there.
could take my dog in .
Bed with springs sticking up. The pluming was worse then terrible. had a bath fitted which the hot water tap refused to offer more then a trickle. no shower available , so no way of washing, except by the sink, which sounded like a pneumatic drill. draw handle can off in hand. bath room window sealed shut with paint. no heating in room , they did provide us with a little fan heater. kettle didn't work, (they did swap) .
Very friendly check in, helped up the stairs with my dog cage and bag, very pleasant and large room, clean and comfy, would go back there for sure
The rooms are all up a flight of stairs so if you have knee probs like me its a bit difficult but staff are lovely and helpful and will carry things up for you
Nothing. The rooms stank of stale cigarettes, there was no ventilation, window or mirror in bathroom. Towels were stained.
See above comments also. Avoid Room 5! It is on the main street. Smokers and foul-mouths below window. We were woken at 2.30am by someone banging on the front door and swearing. Shortly after that the same man beat his female partner up outside our window. She then howled+screamed until 4am after which the man hit her again. We were then disturbed by 2 males in the hotel who were having a loud drunken discussion at 5am. Oh, and we were overcharged! Booking.com quoted us £49 and they took £50. We didn't stay for breakfast and left at 7am. I think you should give us a refund or a voucher for £50 as compensation. The recommendations are all lies on their website. This place is to be avoided at all costs.
friendly atmosphere ,good room,good breakfast,good beer(worthingtons)
Basic for cost
Tiny shower, Leak in ceiling so had to move my bed and put bucket under drip.
Entertaining locals in lively bar !
Provided secure parking for our motorcycles, upgraded our rooms after they realised we had booked twin rooms not doubles! and a brilliant breakfast too. Excellent place will go again. Also a very good Chinese Restaurant attached.
The bar clientele were a little weird. However, we did notice later there was another bar with 'normal' people!
