The central location was very convenient. The bathroom was a good size. It was very noisy, being so central and a Saturday night and even though I was on the second floor, I needed to play music on my mp3 player to drown out the din from the street! Then, in the early hours, the glass recycling was collected with a great crashing fanfare! The room was superficially cleaned, but litter was left in the bathroom and there was chewing gum stuck on the floor.

There is nothing I liked about this hotel apart from the friendly recepionist when I asked for my money back!! It was the coldest, most uncomftable, dated and dirty room I have ever come across! I expected noisy as it is in city center but I would not stay there if they paid me never mind the £90 price tag!!!

The location and area in the city centre was excellent, facilities in Hotel were very good and convenient and as I travel to Liverpool a few times a year I will certainly would want to come back to the Hanover. Maybe if I was being a bit picky it would be the size of the family room it was a bit small but that did not stop us enjoying our time there.

Have stayed her numerous times as it is close to both the shopping and nightlife areas. The hotel is great for a short trip for a match etc. Plenty to eat at breakfast. rooms are warm. only thing about the hotel is there is no lift which might be a problem for those less mobile.

Rooms were uncomfortable and small and dated. For thirty pounds more I could have stayed in a real hotel. It was very noisy and facilities were non existent.

Having booked a double room as I was meeting up with a girlfriend on return after a good nite out I was greeted at the door by a obnoxious dooorman who refused to let my girlfriend in, as you can imagine I was absolutly digusted in the mans attitude towards my girlfriend, not to say totallay embarrassed, in the end I was forced to put my girlfriend into a cab that cost me £50, not bad to say I payed £90 for a double room as well. What I cant understand, what is a double room mean in this hotel????????? Having spoken to 1 hotel staff on the phone the nxt day, he said that it was there policy not to let any 1 back with a guest if they had a single room, after banging my head with a large hammer and saying over, & over that I had a double room, he would not give me a good enough explination why my g/friend was sat in a %$£$"& taxi and I was in bed on my own. Never again.

The breakfast and security, also super service provided by staff. Really good location. Nice size room of value of money. I knew it will be a bit noisy because of the pub and the location but it did not disturbed me at all on my stay. Cleanliness of my room - otherwise fine, but the table lamp sheds were really dusty (inside).

I liked that it was in the city centre, staff were friendly, price was right, room was good for us, four mates just looking to put the head down after a night out, also it had pool tables beside the bar which we spent time at. A basic hotel which I would return to. T.V. in room didnt work, no radio in room, would have liked any of these things while getting ready to go out or just chilling out in the room.

We stayed at the handover for one night as a stop over for us to go to a show at the emipre theatre. We loved that the hotel as it was a 5 minute walk to the theatre, as we don't know liverpool at all, we found this hotel a great place to stay, as it is right in the centre. Also the hanover offering breackfast was the selling point as we didn't have to worry about where we would get this, but also the bar food offered in their bar was excellent value and scrummy. We will be staying at the hanover again when we decied to visit liverpool again, well done hanover!! Our only faults were that the rooms heating is on a timer, please leave this on when you know the room is being used as the room takes along time to heat up, and fix the wobbly headboard.

Good location next to nightclubs and shops. We were meant to have 3 rooms x 1 double bed and 1 bunked and ended up with 1 x double and 2 singles, 1 x double and bunked bed, and 1 x 2 bunk beds. Should be more specific of what bed are in each room.
