Safe in room good Arrived to find refurbishments to bar taking place, had booked in July and disappointed at the state of the hotel. Did pay £90 which was reduced to £60 after we commented at the refurbishment. Heating did not work in the room, dust on ceiling and walls and room generally shabby. Toilet took some flushing and roll holder falling off the wall. Breakfast good but sat in a "corridor" building site. Cost £14 on top of hotel bill to park the car |

The location was really good. The Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Had a huge ensuite and breakfast was includud even though we missed it!! The room could have a little bit cleaner and the wardrobe door kept swinging open. Didn't mind the noise as we stayed there after a night out |

Very good value considering the location. Everything was great accept for the refurbishment works which of course were noisey during breakfast, but couldn't be avoided and I was aware of it before I booked. Will be back again when work completed. Upgrading works but that is progress for you............ |

Leaving!!! This hotel is actually a pub full of old men with rooms attached,The hotel (if you could call it that) stopped serving food at 6 oclock! There was mould/damp in the corners ,our room was very basic, very hot, disgusting stain on one of the beds, a smashed mirror, the window was close to the ceiling so we had to climb on the dresser to reach it, the heating was on full wack and couldnt be turned down! Not to mention the night club that opens at 1am right outside our window, not forgetting we couldnt close the window because the heating was on and couldnt turn it off...so with no sleep we went down for breakfast which suprisingly was edible although there were no lights so we ate in the dark!! Did not enjoy our stay at all!!! |

I have never stayed in a worse place, the only room service was that my bed was made. Bin was not emptied or sink in bathroom cleaned - no toilet brush in bathroom! Bar area where breakfast was served was dirty - workmen upholstering with very noisey machinery - carpet very dirty! Didn't read the reviews before booking unfortunately! |

I would have liked to get at least some sleep during my two nights but that is not possible at this hotel. I have never stayed in such a noisy place in my life. The room was depressing and it was certainly not worth the money I paid for it. The only two good points were the reception attendant was very helpful and it was close to what i needed. Breakfast was awful. Served in a dingy corner of the bar. Not even a cup of real coffee. Make your own instant! For £60 a night I would expect a lot better. |

The staff were helpful and friendly. It is located in the heart of Liverpool as was very near to shops and night life. We found the hotel a little noisy at night, the front of the hotel looks like a pub. The hotel has limited comforts and we had to eat our breakfast in a bar with decoraters all around us (reminded us of Forty Towers). Still enjoyed our stay, just found it funny! |

The breakfast The noise was horrendous. It was continous from 1am till 6.30.I expected some noise but not to this extent on a Wed;While the web page warned about possible noise from Thur; on, it would have been better before the booking than after. |

It was very convenient being close to the city centre. The staff were very friendly, polite and extremely helpful with anything I needed. And the freshly cooked breakfast - cooked to order - was excellent, far better than the "buffet-style" breakfast that bigger hotels serve. Only one thing. I've ticked "good" for location, because it was conveniently situated. However, the "Funky Box" nightclub was directly opposite my room's window in a small sidestreet and on the Saturday night - my first night there - the "partying" went on until 7am, so I got no sleep at all. The other nights were fine. |

Liked the pictures of old Liverpool in the hotel area. Noise was a big problem, our room backed onto a Club which went on until 3 am then came the noise of the empty bottles being binned. The breakfast area is the bar area during the day, the fabric stools were filthy and the tables were marked with cigarette burns. The bar area needs refurbishing badly. |
