the polite, helpful, friendly staff and peaceful ,relaxed atmosphere, the location, the decor.
the room was a bit small, the breakfast wasn't brilliant but ok
Good location, continental breakfast was good and room was clean the bed was very comfortable.
Being on the top floor the room was very small with little room to move.
Few minutes from Victoria station
Large bathroom, friendly staff, free wifi, continental breakfast
Very central location near Vicotoria station, easy to connect with Gatwick/Heatrow airport. Not too much street noise.
Breakfast was not a masterpiece, juice tasted strange.
I cannot understand some of the negative comments regarding tnis hotel. It is, admittedly, a budget hotel so one should not be expecting 4 star facilities. But for a central London location just minutes walk from Victoria train and bus stations, it is an excellent choice. My single room had a bed that I would describe as a small double (maybe I was upgraded to a double room although this was not mentioned). The en-suite was of perfectly acceptable size. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
There are comments on here about the poor breakfast - I cannot comment as, after a heavy night previously, I missed breakfast ! However, the hotel does have on reception a guide to how long you may expect to wait for your table at particular times. So clearly this is an issue but at least the hotel pre-warns you so if you dion't want to wait, just get up earlier!
- The room was not ready when I arrived (middle of the afternoon). - The room was really small. - While in the toilets you have to close the window shutter in the bedroom to have some privacy (there is no door between the bedroom and the toilets)
Walking up four floors. The carpets were stained poor breakfast
The location of the hotel was nice, close to Victoria station and with a couple of restaurants nearby for eating out without the heavy traffic. Friendly staff and the overall hotel was neat and felt welcoming.
The breakfast was definitely nothing to brag about. Some hardened bread and cereals left us eating our breakfast out most of the days. The room we had was incredibly damp and we could spot some mold behind the curtains. So although this didn't affect our stay, I would not have liked to stay there for longer than a week.
The hotel was excellently located, staff were very friendly and the our stay was very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom.
Our bedroom was on the 4th floor, which meant a climb of 83 stairs everytime we needed to return to our room - very exhausting after being out all day in the city and extremely difficult to manage with a suitcase!!!!
The location is nice. It takes 5 minutes to Victria Station.
I could not get hot water for first two nights. After I asked, it suddenly came out. There should be some regulation.
Great location, lovely hotel, get exactly what you pay for it. Staff were good.
If your staying in rooms down stairs next to the breakfast hall you will be awake from 7 onwards! It's so noisy and also rooms above you are also very noisy!
Location, friendly staff,
Dirty curtains and ceiling lamp, mould in the bathroom (!),
The staff appeared friendly.
This is not the right place to stay if you want to have a good nights sleep. You can hear all your neighbours, all the footsteps, doors opening and closing. The walls are so thin. If anybody uses the tap or showers in the other rooms, the pipes are so loud you will surely be kept up all night. The shower facilities are not good either. The floor filled with water and we have to stop showering every now and again so that the water could very slowly go down the drain. Breakfast is served only from 7.30am to 9.30am - I don't know about you but I am not up before 11am when I am on holiday. I would not stay here again.
Smell of drains plus room was cold;cracked sink
On arrival, very good and speedy check in, staff were helpful, we were asked if we needed help with our luggage, We had a small problem in our room, reported to staff at reception was seen to with 15mins, The breakfast good and again staff kept the plenty of food on the buffett.
Room could have done with a little TLC. also bathroom was small/ and no where to put shaving kit toothbrush's etc down.
Location, nice part of London, quiet, close to Westminister
No lift, breakfast limited, breakfast room crowded
Bed, sheets, flatscreen TV, coffee and tea making set-up, wifi.
Really dirty carpet with stains, could hear very clearly people walking around upstairs (quite loud), front desk people seemed to have a difficult time speaking English, location ok but was out of the way from everything - prepare for a lot of walking to/from trains, etc.
The wifi worked really well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to the Victoria station. About a half hour walk to the London eye.
No elevator, breakfast could have been better, some variety from day to day would be nice.
Nice, residential district. The location is not bad, by far "calmer" is to use Pimlico underground station than Victoria (pretty enjoyable way streets, less traffic). Helpful staff, has made available the appropriate power adapters. The ability to print documents at the front desk for a fee. Available in the room tea and coffee making facilities. Wifi is working in the room and all public areas and it's fast.
This "hotel" is really a hostel converted to a hotel. Surely this is not a real hotel. Let's say it's a hostel class "+". Very narrow stairs, small rooms, VERY small bed, bathroom with shower as in the hostel. If you travel with child, keep in mind that despite the fact that a child under the age of 5 are free, the bed is SO SMALL that sleeping 2+1 is a challenge :) It's not clear. Carpeting in the room dirty, ragged. Also dirty radiator, various nooks and crannies. Such cleaning "to fast". Bedding clean, during a 3-day stay it was not changed. Towels were not replaced daily. Breakfast confirms that it is more of a hostel "+", than a hotel. Espresso coffee is not suitable for drinking :( fortunately is also available in sachets of Nescafe. Cornflakes, ham, cheese. Very simple, let's say enough but from a true 3-star hotel I would expect more.
Room was very spacious and bed very comfortable. Also the room was quiet so I had a good night's sleep.
The breakfast was a buffet of the cheapest ingredients possible and the breakfast room was laid out like a prison canteen, not improved by having to go downstairs into the sub-ground. I'm a cook, I could improve on the ingredients at no or little extra cost. I can also improve on the surroundings. Give me a 4-week trial, I'll show you what I can do!
The location was fine for my purposes and the price was about right for the area.
I had to stand and wait for a breakfast table. At no time was I advised on timescales; nor was I even offered a coffee whilst I stood and waited. I then noted that a continental service was the only breakfast evident. Upon my arrival two members of staff, at reception, were arguing. Not a great welcome. Then after hauling my belongings upstairs to the top floor I could not get into my room due to a faulty door lock.
The bed Location Continental breakfast The airport shuttle service Free wi-fi The porters were extremely helpful
My room was not cleaned properly. The shower recess didn't drain properly so there was hair left from the previous occupants The carpets weren't vacuumed properly Walls were a little thin(I could clearly hear the occupants conversations next door) The man on reception made me feel like my every question of request was an inconvenience!!
Clean room and great location. Really close to bus station.
The bathroom needed updating.
Shower way too hot TV remote didn't work
