It was clean and a good value for money hotel. Easy access to a lot of tourist locations in london. Nice hot water. Warm rooms. The Staff were not particularly friendly and only spoke when asked a question. Breakfast was minimal. We had a room 5 floors up and there was no lift and no offer to help with luggage. Tv was not available to watch as it said no signal.

We stayed in the quad room which was clean, plenty of room & had good basic facilities - tea/coffee, hairdryer. The breakfast offered cereal, croissant, juice, tea & two helpings of toast. The communal areas looked to have just been decorated and the 24 hour reception was great for our late check-in. The single bed in the quad room was not the most comfortable with a much used mattress.

I wanted a decent room for a decent price. That's what I got. It had a bed, a door lock, a shower, a toilet, breakfast, and 24 hour staff. That was all I needed. Old plumbing made it hard to shower on the 4th floor.

Good location. the last minute price was reasonable. The room was tiny as was the single bed. The bathroom was ridiculously squeezed into a tiny space. There was little more than a 6 inch gap between the end of the bed and the access to the bathroom. No good for anything other than a place to put your head down.

It was close to all of the main attractions in London and had easy access to Victoria station to allow a wider variation in travel. The room I was given was in the basement and so very close to the breakfast area. We were awakened at 7am with the set up of the room and heard every movement of every chair and lots of chatter between the staff. The boiler was also outside of the window which was very noisy too.

No lift, dirty, dirty and smelly bed covers and blankets. Unreliable staff, unsecure room, eventhough I had ask the room cleaner not to disturb, but she did burst into the room without warning, I mean any memeber of satff could come to your room at anytime as they wish. The windows have a vey unsecure lock, the balcony is shared with a room next to you, dirty walls, chipped mugs that could cut your lips, dirty old beds. I have taken some pictures from the room wich I have sent to the booking.com , I hope they are suspended from this website.

Staff were very helpfull and friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The complimentary bottle of wine for our birthday went down a treat. Too many stairs and beds uncomfortable. No plug in sink for shaving. Towels and pillows stained, and also hairs on towels.

The manager and the entire staff were very good and friendly. They are always available for any assistance. Needed. The reception I received was above my expectation. The excellent service received from the staff overides the negative experience I had during my stay.

My special request to the hotel was well received and entertained though the hotel advised they did not guarantee when first receiving my request. The location of the hotel is pretty good as it is close to Victoria station, which is very convenient for city tour. The toilet is rather spacious and in good shape. The broadband facility is good as it was easily connected.

Perfect location for a short stay in downtown London. Safe area of town. Clean yet very very small room. I would stay again if I was a solo traveller. Front staff was helpful and available. The room was equipped with a table fan, and kettle for tea and coffee and a hairdryer! No lift but as I was staying on the 4th floor someone kindly carried my one suitcase up. The tv in the room did not have good reception so did not bother using it. Water pressure was minimal.

Convenient location, close to Victoria station. I was situated on the top floor of the hotel and with no lift facility had to make repeated journey's to my room via several flights of stairs. The room entry card was temperamental and on one occasion I was forced to go back down to the ground floor reception to report my problem. Also the breakfast area was cramped and chaotic.

Although the room and ensuite were the usual London squeezy, with nowhere to put suitcases other than on the floor, it and the continental breakfast was all we needed for five nights after a chair was provided on request. Now a word of warning about hiring motor cars. Read the terms and conditions very very carefully before hiring a car from Budget rent a car. Budget hire was by far the most expensive hire we have ever encountered in the world.

We wanted to stay close to Victoria Station, for a reasonable price. Hanover Hotel fit the bill perfectly! Our room was in the back so it was quiet, the beds comfortable, the small bathroom clean. We bought some snacks and a nice bottle of wine at the Sainsbury's supermarket around the corner, and had a good night's rest before leaving for the airport the next morning at 6:30 am. It's just a 10 minute walk to the station, and from there about 1 hour by train to Heathrow Airport We had to carry our heavy suitcase up a small flight of stairs, about 10 steps. We asked for a wake up call but they forgot about it.

The breakfast included was just great. The proximity to Victoria R'way/metro station makes it a great location. We found it just right for our arrival in London from o/seas - good base.
