Novotel Cardiff CentreSchooner Way - Atlantic Wharf, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff Bay, CF10 4RT Cardiff (Show map) Very good, Score from 320 reviews“Enjoyed using the leisure facilities, it had a good sized swimming pool. Hotel decor was modern, clean and fresh looking and at the same time it had sympathetically preserved the older part which had once been a warehouse. Hotel staff were very polite and helpful.”

We stayed at Novotel Cardiff when we went to watch a gig at the cia. We were very impressed by the style and layout of the hotel from the minute we walked in. The staff are second to none, very helpful and polite and always have a smile on their face, which is a lot more than can be said about many of the other places we have stayed. The executive room was nice and spacious, with a coffee machine, Ipod dock and lovely bathroom. The carpet was a bit tired and let the room down somewhat, but not the end of the world. The mini bar was very expensive. £2.50 for a small bottle of water or £3.50 for a small can of beer (50p in Sainsburys), but that said, it was lovely to have all of the space and be able to wonder down to the spa anytime you felt like it. Very good for a weekend break. The little extras seemed very over priced. Breakfast was £16.95 and the mini bar was very unrealistic.

Big, bright airy rooms. Possibly too sparse with regards to not enough furniture in the room to give it the complete feel of comfort. But the bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful. Good lighting in the bathroom. Room service was prompt and food was excellent. Having to pay for the car park despite having spent the night there. Also wifi wasn't free within the rooms and you had to set it via Orange and load up your credit card details. Waste of time especially as I was there on business and simply wanted to start working.

Everything. The staff there are the best I have experienced. Front of house, restaurant, cleaning staff, leisure centre staff are all really, really good at what they do. They combine a high standard of professionalism with being very nice people.

The room is just ok,it is big but makes people felt uncomfortable. A little bit far from city centre, there is no store like tesco or resturant near hotel except the bar of hotel. However, it is clean and tidy.

Excellent staff, good gym and pool. Location good because it is walkable to both city centre and bay area but this does mean that it's not that close to either. Not a particularly pleasant walk out in the evenings.

It's location for the water centre and ice rink is perfect. Chef needs to remember that food needs to be served hot. It should not be the main part of the meal be scolding hot and the vegetables that accompany the main dish be luke warm. Sofa beds could be a little more comfortable and have a thicker mattress.

Nice enough room. Changed rooms once as there was a problem with running a bath. The taps produced black residue. Moved in to another room. Filled the bath with hot water and the cold tap did not work. Very dissapointed. The hotel staff had incorrectly documented that we had paid for the room with cash in full. Took some time to resolve this matter.

The check in staff were very helpful, happy and polite. Reception manager although not in anyway rude was certainly much less enthusiastic than his staff, perhaps a new year hang over...
