0.5 miles from the Cardiff International Arena, this Novotel has an indoor swimming pool, a gym and restaurant. Shops, nightlife and Cardiff Central Rail Station are all 10 minutes’ walk away. Rooms boast stylish decoration and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. With a seating area and work desk, other facilities include tea/coffee, satellite TV and 24-hour room service. With an on-site pool, guests at the 4-star Novotel Cardiff Centre also have free use of a sauna, steam bath and hot tub. Elements Restaurant and Bar serves a wide selection of modern dishes and drinks. Up to 2 children (under 16 years) can stay free (with breakfast) when sharing a room with adults. This includes access to video games, baby equipment and a healthy children's menu. Families also get late check-out on Sundays (until 17:00). We stayed at Novotel Cardiff when we went to watch a gig at the cia. We were very impressed by the style and layout of the hotel from the minute we walked in. The staff are second to none, very helpful and polite and always have a smile on their face, which is a lot more than can be said about many of the other places we have stayed. The executive room was nice and spacious, with a coffee machine, Ipod dock and lovely bathroom. The carpet was a bit tired and let the room down somewhat, but not the end of the world. The mini bar was very expensive. £2.50 for a small bottle of water or £3.50 for a small can of beer (50p in Sainsburys), but that said, it was lovely to have all of the space and be able to wonder down to the spa anytime you felt like it. Very good for a weekend break. The little extras seemed very over priced. Breakfast was £16.95 and the mini bar was very unrealistic.

It took 15 mins to check out ,for the price we paid thought breakfast should have been included also parking.

The staff were efficient and courteous. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. It was lovely to be able to used the swimming pool.

I loved the breakfast selection.....the price of the stay was reasonable. The swimming pool was lovely. Staff couldnt do enough for you. Bedrooms were very clean, the cleaning lady was very courteous and respectful, if you werent ready for your room to be turned over she happily said she would pop back later. Food in the evening was lovely, drinks at the bar were fairly priced and you were able to take them to your room. I was disappointed with the television, freeview would be the best option ...channels were very few and reception wasnt good, we werent in the room that much but would of been nice to watch a clear tele before went to sleep. If I was to stay again I would upgrade to an executive room. Other than that I had a lovely time.

Recenty stayed at novotel its our 2nd visit me and my partner went on our own 1st time. This time decided to take kids..The staff was great! They gave my two young children a gift on arrival. Explained times pool is open for children etc. the restraurant does childrens menu really good price and 2 kids under 16 get to stay and have brekfast for free. They have a little kids section with xbox and little library. Would highly reccomend this hotel me and my partner will be having another trip back there!!

Hotel very clean and the design of the Executive Room we stayed in was excellent. The enhanced facilities in the bathroom were much appreciated it was good not to feel cramped. The coffee making facilities and the Nespresso Machine facilities were were generously stocked for our use. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Room Service food was excellent. Have no comments as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Novotel Cardiff too friends, family and business associates.

I have stayed at the Novotel a couple of times,the hotel has gone down hill.I Will not be staying again, the hotel was not clean or the rooms and the food was very cold. I have two autistic boys and I can not believe you have to pay for disabled parking.

The facilities for the wedding we attended were excellant...staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellant. Definately feel the price was too high for the room and its facilities, also breakfast very costly. In addition to the high cost we also had to pay £8.00 to park the car!!

I was greeted by asking if I was aware i would have to pay for the car park, which incidentaly I think should be free as it was well out of the city centre and a weekend. The key card didn't work on arrival at the room and was made to feel like it was my fault! Checking out I was asked if I had breakfast when the receptionist could clearly see that I had from the signed receipt in her hand! Just little things but very irritating!

Great shower, great building, nice rooms. Breakfast, tv, room mini fridge contents etc were all very pricey. I felt like I had to be careful not to accidentally incur extra charges.

Location very good, Food and service very good,nice bar area will stay again at this Hotel. Room O.K. could do with maybe a brush up shower was leaky but did not affect the stay. Staff friendly'
