Booked this as a cheap overnight stay as was visiting Whipsnade zoo on the next day. Hotel not in the best place as Dunstable on the whole feels a bit run down... but a good base to go exploring the downs nearby. Got a bargain rate of £55 and appeared to be upgraded to a suite even though nobody said anything.. nice big room, comfy bed, tea and coffee making and jacuzzi spa style. Wasnt sure about eating in the restaurant as was quite expensive but it happend to be some of the best food we've ever eaten.. would highly recomend !

Apologies but can't say I liked anything about the Palace. However did not eat at the premises and the resturant looked nice. Twin room - beds far to small - I'm only 5ft 2inches and 8 stone - if anyone bigger tried to sleep in those size beds they would find it impossible. Heating didn't work - freezing Shower not very poweful

Really liked the entrance, lobby and eating areas. The bedroom was also very nicely decorated and very clean. I was a little disappointed with the modern new built areas and the long slightly dull corridors - felt these could have been made a feature of as it felt like walking in a hospital or an old people's home...maybe change the colour of the walls from white? As above

The staff were extremely warm and friendly, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We had gone away for the weekend to have some peace and quiet from the kids but were woken very early by next door and the room above by a lot of noise, my boyfriend went to reception later on that morning and we were immediately given another room right on the top floor with nobody in the rooms either side! Couldn't ask for better service!

Very clean and comfortable, good size car park, staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly. It is possible (likely) to hear guests in adjoining rooms or to hear those on the second floor. The restaurant is a bit pricey.

I was so pleased with the way we were treated all weekend. The staff were superb. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Very laid back and relaxed, though very efficient. A great place to stay for a quiet weekend away, The log fire in the bar area was wonderful , I would come back again, and would recommend the hotel to friends,.

I enjoyed a relaxing stay to meet friends I found the room very comfortable and ideal for what I needed. The only thing I didn't like was that the room was paid by my mother and booked on her card . I was asked to pay for the room when i arrived i stated as above and the receptionist said not to worry i'll sort it for you . The next morning whilst i was checking out i was asked again could i pay my bill for the room which at this time it annoyed me as it was going to be sorted the day before , Its not a complaint I just believe the receptionist must need more training on communications with other receptionists .

Even though there has been a wedding at the hotel on every occasion that we have stayed, this has never interfered with nor devalued our stay. We love the warm feel of the place, the oak panelling, the large bar and the superb Christmas decor. The newly renovated room was excellent. The staff at Reception, were polite and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay.
