Location - easy to find and close to Bletchley Park where we were visiting. Wifi is excellent. Dining in small room (due to a wedding party) enhanced our evening meal experience - our waitress, Perlitta looked after us very well. Comfortable beds and pillows.
Room had no air con and subsequently was very hot overnight. After a very good quality evening meal, breakfast was disappointing (individually ordered but not clearly not cooked to order - arrived warm not hot). Majority of staff were focussed on the wedding party and seemed distracted.
Wifi is very good - room pleasant and comfortable, good breakfast reasonably priced free parking
Staff were excellent
Room smell Old socks left in a drawer Constant drip of water from toilet cistern very annoying damp patch on wall/ceiling very uncomfy bed
The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The small bathroom
We was upgraded to a lovely room made our stay perfect. Would definitely stay again
On arrival, the hotel seemed nice enough, though somewhat gloomy. The restaurant menu put us off by its extreme dullness. Breakfast seemed fine but, as it turned out, only in comparison with everything else about our stay.
We returned in the evening to find the wedding party from hell going on. A crowd of drunken, smoking guests blocking the entrance, wild crowds inside - loud drum and bass music (which went on into the early hours). Obscene, shouted arguments in the corridor outside our bedroom also into the early hours, Just as we finally got to sleep we were woken by fire alarms. That also woke the kids in the room next door which was when we discovered the walls were paper-thin. I now see on another website that this has happened before. When we mentioned the fire alarm in the morning (after navigating past someone scrubbing the vomit out of the corridor carpet) we were told that was at 6.30 am, as if that meant it didn't really matter. We pointed out that we had only got to sleep at 6 am so it did. The hotel needs to be honest and warn guests when they book that a wedding party is going on. OK, some weddings may be fine. This one was of the 'let's all get roaring drunk' variety. That is NOT compatible with accepting other reservations at the same time. I wrote a full, detailed account for the manager - was assured I would get a response. Have I? Oh no, not a word. Now, I am a writer and broadcaster and I have stayed in hotels all over the world. I searched my memory for a comparison and could only come up with a night in Rumania just after the fall of Ceaucescu. My advice was only go there mid-week and make quite sure there isn't a mid-week wedding. If you need a break from the hotel, the French restaurant, Chez Jerome (?) just down the road is excellent. I fervently wish we had stayed at the Holiday Inn.
The executive room was nicely sized with a sofa. TV was well placed, would've liked a few more channels. Ample parking and super convenient location. The hotel was really clean and the staff were really pleasant. Hotel seemed very well managed.
The hotel was too busy for us to consider a table at the restaurant. But this was understandable being a Sunday and we received fair warning from the receptionist.
Spacious rooms Big television Location
Very noisey both inside and outside the hotel Had 5 hours sleep due to noise in the hotel until 3:30am hair in shower
If you have business or are socialising in central Dunstable, then this in a great location
This is the second time we have stayed here. Unfortunately this time we ended up with a room that barely managed to facilitate a double bed. The over-bath shower & shower curtain was not very good. Hopefully this is a one off!!
the room was very modern and clean and comfortable and the bar food was very tasty
make sure there is not a wedding reception being held there because of the noise, although we were moved and upgraded
The staff were lovely.
The noise from people drinking outside the hotel.I think they should do something about the entrance to reception as when we were entering the hotel we were met with people outside smoking and it's a really terrible smell especially when asthmatic.
Pleasant ambience and helpful staff.
Rather uncomfortable bed!
The staff were friendly and the service was very good.
Wooden floors upstairs so noisey at night when people who don't respect others come in late at night.
Spacious comfortable room very quiet, no fans, traffic noise, very dark. Bed super.
Excellent convivial meeting with old friends. Food and breakfast brilliant. Every requirement for breakfast, including porridge (which was a bit sweet for my taste).
Nice staff Clean facilities
No air con in the room, therefore room was too warm to sleep, Couldnt leave the window open as the window opened right out and the room was situated on the ground floor.
Comfortable room Wifi free and very good Very nice breakfast Reasonably priced Free car parking
Close to travel to Whipsnade zoo. Very comfortable bed and useful power shower in bathroom.Gym convenient and good facility.
Photo of hotel does not reflect the road on which it is situated, uninspiring menu in restaurant particularly for vegetarians. Spa bath did not work, and notwithstanding this was reported to staff, was not attended to in the remainder of our stay.
We liked the size of the room.
The bed was 2 singles joined together. The water pressure was horrendous. The sistern took ages to fill up to less than half and our toilet blocked. The shower was pathetic as there was no pressure. The prices in the restaurant were higher than that of the hilton hotel in London. The tv was complete basic package.
lovely place friendly
Food was excellent, staff were also excellent.
Actual hotel was nothing like on the website. Website made it look countyish.... Certainly wasn't!! Walked in to the middle of a wedding reception which was uncomfortable but not a problem. We were in room 128 which was above the toilets so all night til 330 in the morning people were slamming doors and the noise of the hand dryer was very loud in our room. This resulted in lack of sleep which then ruined our plans for the next day. Wouldn't return unfortunately.
Location we attended a wedding And as the church was just Accross the rd this was perfect , The staff were good and helpful, The bed comfy a good nights Sleep.so over all good
How ever when first entering The room there was a smell Which I later discovered was Coming from the bath room Weather from bad ventilation Or other means who knows ,also No refidgerator .
Helpful and friendly staff. A large wedding party was handled most efficiently during our stay without inconvenience to other guests. Comfortable beds
Poor sound insulation in bedroom. TV and conversations at normal pitch could be heard clearly from adjoining rooms. Although I would recommend the hotel I would have to add this qualification.
Hotel staff very polite and helpful, Food was out of this world
Had long walk from room to an open entrance
