dark rooms. could not read in bed due to low lighting. dark colour scheme .food was a joke

very pleasant, quiet hotel in the centre of a busy town. Friendly, efficient staff.

Room was dark.

one of staff called me sir even though I was dressed as women. It is good practice to address someone. As they dress.

Location was ideal for the motorway and easy access into London

The hotel was hosting a wedding party which turned out to be a very very noisy party going on into the early hours.

I like that the beds were comfy and the rooms was spotless. Service from the waiter and everyone was excellent

The room where we stayed as quite noisy could hear people talking in other room and people walking through corridor

The staff were friendly, the room was very clean and had everything i needed..

Location and staff

Was awoken by people in above room at around 1.00 am and by people next door at 6.00 am. Neither were particularly loud but walls and ceilings were not well insulated

I thought the hotel was clean with a good feel. The rooms were modern and relaxing. The room service was good and the food was very nice.

If you want a good nights sleep it isn't going to happen. The rooms needs soundproofing so you can hear everyone that the people in the next room are saying. If people come in late at night you will be woken up from you sleep and will only be able to go back to sleep once they are asleep! It is such a shame, as the hotel is lovely.

Water pressure in the second floor bedroom very low.

The hotel is in what we would describe as a run down area - but once you are inside it is lovely - very smarty and very clean. The staff are lovely and the lady on reception made a fuss of our 7 year old when we arrive. We stayed due to the hotel being near the Harry Potter Studios and Woburn Safari park and the location was perfect. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was also very good and it was nice to order it and it not be a buffet.

The walls of the hotel rooms were too thin, we could hear everything in the rooms either side of us, to the point where the man next door was choosing his ring tone and it woke us up. The phone did not work therefore lots of people were having early morning calls in person and this was at times very early and woke us all up.

Dark reception

The rooms were comfortable and the bar area was friendly. The breakfast was cooked fresh as was the toast not buffet style which mean't the food was hot. The hotel was inviting and I would recommend it for a great place to stay.

The service we received was excellent from all the staff. The food was excellent in term of taste and portion size. Nice to have proper home made food. Also I rang the hotel to arrange flowers for my wife and they were very happy to help.

a heat curtain near the main entrance door would be beneficial as we sat in the lounge area and there was a cold draught when the door was opened.

The old features were great, nice size rooms and comfortable beds. shower was great, walkig distance to many local amenities.

Rooms were well appointed and clean. Food for the party and the breakfast was of a good standard. All staff were extremely helpful and polite. A decent sized car park! Would recommend the hotel if I knew anyone needing one in area.
