    Stayed for a wedding here , such a lovely hotel and function rooms . Breakfast was fab too . Loved it

    We were here for a wedding. Great venue for that kind of thing - everything under one roof. Clean, comfy bed, excellent value for money over a weekend. Would recommend.

    Comfort of the rooms. Evening meals superb.

    1. Being asked for the room to be cleaned at 08.45 despite having 'do not disturb' displayed. 2. Difficulty in coping when it was busy at Breakfast. Tables not laid, food and drink running out, not even the basic cutlery or cups available. Being told to 'find a table' at breakfast. Not impressed. 3. Internet signal 'poor' or non existent for most of the time. 4. No bedside table on one side despite being an executive room. 5. Would not recommend at the moment unless the hotel 'get their act together'.

    The gym, spa facilities and swimming pool. Good coffee and tea facilities in room.

    Tired bathroom but it was very clean.

    The lager in the bar was OK

    Bed was uncomfortable No ironing board but instead a leg press in corner of room and set up for right handed people (I am left handed) Shower was terrible No phone reception in room Check in/out was slow due to only 1 person being at front desk

    Love the feeling of being away from home in a lovely hotel ( but still close enough should I need to get home quick) very comfortable room ( upgraded to deluxe as standard very small.)

    Bathroom needed attention. Breakfast room too busy and coffee machines don't make hot enough drinks. (Luke warm isn't nice!)

    Sunday Breakfast Never been in a hotel so poorly equipped to deal with the number of guests. Replenishment of food, drinks and crockery not up to standard and dining area insufficient for number of guests

    It was a convenient location for us.

    We found that parts of the hotel were quite dated and need modernisation. Particularly the changing areas by the pool. Also tables in rooms had stains on them as did the bath.

    We upgraded our rooms to executive. The room was tired and well worn. Bathroom was in need of improvement and a thorough cleen. Cobwebs and mold?? If anyone is offered room 448 don't take it.

    Needs upgrading in areas particularly the bedrooms. Dog friendly hotel but owners allowed dogs to urinate up tables outside and sit on chairs.

    Bedroom fixtures dated and needs attention. No air conditioning in bedrooms and fan not supplied as standard. Items not replenished - shampoo etc, toilet rolls, towels replaced but not with full set. Problem with room booking even though we phoned ahead to make sure details were correct. Wasn't aware it is a pet friendly hotel - owners allowing dogs to urinate near and on outside tables which was v disappointing areas were not then cleaned. Also dogs were placed by owners on outside chairs.

    This was the fourth year running we have stayed in this hotel. When it was Barcelo & Puma Groups the hotel was excellent. The public areas are still very good restaurant bars etc. The beds were very comfortable, but sadly that's where the good part ends.

    The rooms are badly in need of a refurb. Our shower was a dribble Small head with no power. Bath & basin didn't drain away. Toilet very poor flush. window was filthy. Walls & furniture were very badly marked. Air Con much too high room was freezing. Booking was messed up inspite of emails and 'phone calls checking all was well. Wrong newspaper was ordered and delivered to our room. There were only thin plastic cups for fruit juice at breakfast. I think a glass would be expected at a four star hotel. It was a very disappointing stay in a hotel we have always enjoyed on previous occasions.

    Poor management. The check in took 20 mins. As a consequence they refused me diner even though they were still serving.

    Size of the room and comfort. The bathroom was great and we both enjoyed the hotel enormously

    We were attending a Masonic function and there were too many delays during the meal. It meant that people had to leave to get trains home before the dinner was completed. I am aware that the organisers will discuss this matter with you.

    Leisure facilities excellent

    Menus very limited. Restaurant staff whilst pleasant largely clueless. Billed for meals we did not take. Billed for flowers, champagne and chocs.already paid for by family for our Ruby wedding anniversary and delivered on the wrong day and without message sender details. Congratulations card sent by family not delivered..stuck in someones ducket, only discovered after phone call to family to say we were on our way home and had to return to hotel to retrieve same. Young staff were largely clueless. Lovely hotel spoilt by inefficiencies.

    easy to find, big facilities, very friendly staff. The value for money was fantastic

    Ill always find fault with something! dark wet patch on one of the beds and the toilet seat had a suspicious brown mark on the side of the toilet seat. Nothing really to worry about all in all. But as is a 5 star hotel you do just expect perfection.
