the room was cold and i couldnt warm it up with the radiator, i woke with a pain in my neck, possibly a draft!!!, which has only just faded today. it could have also been because of the pillows. however everything else made a pleasurable stay

The way in which we were welcomed by Amber the receptionist made a very big impression, she even took our luggage to our room for us. The service throughout our stay was absolutely first class. Well, the bed was hard, but, in my working days I sold beds to the hotel trade so I am bound to be critical.

Good reception and leisure facility staff. Nice leisure facilities and very clean. Premium room, needed a bit of attention tired around the edges, cleanliness of room not really up to scratch and breakfast service slow.

The check in and out was very efficient and the room was excellent The hotel was very busy but that doesn't excuse the chaos at breakfast. The tea and coffee facilities are self service but that only works if there is hot water available. The hot water machine was empty as were the coffee makers. Many people mentioned it but it did not seem to be high priority with the staff. People changed to drinking juice but the orange also ran out. The cooked breakfast was very disappointing, no eggs ready and scraps of bacon as the trays had not been refilled

The business conference rooms were all looking good and this would suit a good range of business users from the very big to the small. Only a little nag. The restaurant was nice enough but was too bright at night to enjoy a meal and feel the romance. !!!

The bar. Having stayed here before, room 100 was the worst room I have had. I dont think this room has been re-furbished since the hotel was built, the heater did not work properly, hole in the bathroom wall where the extract fan had been badly fitted, just really dated compared to the rest of the hotel.

Friendly and informal atmosphere. Design of building. Leisure facilities. The 3 large televisions in the Triumph bar; volume far too loud; 3 televisions completely unnecessary, one would be ample; spoils the ambience of a really good bar, made interesting by motor bike theme in its design and decor.

Clean and was in the location I needed Food was very substandard and frankly the hotel, although very nice, is over priced for where it is and what it offers.

The size of the room I stayed in was great (big enough) it was comfortable and I was not disturbed at night by noisy neibours, the room was comfortable. I booked online and used a Diners card for the accepted method of payment, when I arrived I was informed that you do not accept Diners Cards???? The shwer head in my room was loose and also positioned very low, I'm 6ft2, the shower was installed for someone of around 5 foot, there seemed to be a lot of dust im my cupboards and the cutlery was not cleaned properly in the dining room???

The pool area and hotel was very good apart from my comments made. Your charges for drink food far to expensive. Not value for money. Also being woken up by maids at 8am was not good. We did not have to check out until 11am. When I spoke to reception regarding this. I got palmed off. Not good. I would recommend Hinckley island but you do need to note my comments made.

Location, ambience of the bar and modern, clean feeling of the hotel. Food in the bar is fine Food in restaurant - terrible The breakfast is self service, not unusual, but this experience is not good. There is a notice warning that the plates are hot and use a napkin but the plates are stone cold and there are no napkins. The food is lukewarm - when you put it on a cold plate the fat congeals immediately. They need egg cooking courses. Previous visits make use always steer clear of the evening meals - the almost constant conferences mean they get priority and the restaurant suffers for ordinary guests

Good leisure facilities. Friendly staff. The hot water smelled unhealthy and took a long time to come through. The tap in my room washing basin wobbled (558). I arrived on sunday night (13.1.13) and had a bar meal as the restaurant was closed. I had cumberland sausage which I thought would be easy. It was the worst meal I have had in a long time. The sausage was not a normal cumberland sausage and was undercooked. The mashed potato tasted of storage and the vegetables were the same.
