Our first room was truly awful, it was like walking into a wardrobe as it was so dark, we looked straight out onto a brick wall. The hotel was absolutely full of cylcists, pushing and josling us. Friends we met there had flown straight in from Dubai, we tried to order a snack, but were told we are too busy, but if you go to your room you can have room service!!! We did not wish to sit in each others rooms eating! We clarified that the were too busy to serve us food downstairs but if we went to our room then they would bring the food there, yes they replied that is correct. Very very disappointed.

Ease of access and parking; ideal location. Triumph bar. Good comfortable rooms. Interesting building. Nice Christmas trees.

The changing rooms in the Leisure Club were not particularly clean; showers at pool side and in changing rooms are poor.

The Hotel its self was a really nice looking place and inside was clean and very nice

The staff in certain areas could do with more training, in the restaurant a young girl served us and just didnt seem to know anything about the dinners when asked and had to keep going and asking. On Check out our bill was incorrect BUt the girl on reception didnt apologise for the errors or anything and actually made us feel that she didnt believe us. Her attitude needed to changed. The bar areas were really busy yet there was only 1 person serving behing the bar, the wait was rediculours for a 4* hotel, we have stayed in many 4 Star hotels and this in our opinion was the worse and really didnt warrant 4 Stars

The staff are very friendly and helpful. No problem with our daughter and grandson (2 years old), who live nearby, coming to breakfast. Wide choice for breakfast.

The location to where I was working and the facilities

Too busy - there was a conference on during my stay. Everyone was in the area that other guests need to go through to access the rooms. After a long working day, all I wanted to do was get to my room, not fight my way through crowds of people to get there

Bright, clean, efficient

The webb booking was easy to use and there were no problems on arriving at the reception desk.

Clean comfortable hotel providing value for money

I made a specific request about my room, which given the last minute nature of the booking, it was not surprising that the hotel couldn't satisfy the request, however there was no mention of the request at all, as if I'd never made it or it had even been acknowledged which was annoying.

The food was excellent. The location was excellent as we were visiting relatives in the area. The facilities were very good.

The staff were a little slow. There was a conference being held and there were hundreds of people congregating in the corridors and in the lobby area which disturbed the relaxed ambience. The 3 course menu choices for dinner was very confusing and not well explained. No free WIFI. The swimming pool had too much chlorine.

The stanard of accomodation and service met all expectations

1. I thought the price of acess to the internet( just to read e-mails) at £6.50p for an hour was expensive. One would have thought with paying for four star accomodation, access to the internet for non- business customers, (especially at weekends) for a few minutes in each 24 hours could have been provided free of charge.( My usage over three days. Day one: Free for 30 mins. Day two. £6.50P for 60 mins, not all credit used in the 24 hours. Day three. Not used on grounds of cost.) 2.Relaxation. The facilities provided in the rotunda were very good. how ever , althought the weather was good, sitting outside the front of the hotel was overwhelmed by the roar of traffic.Is it nor possible to provide some form of patio to the rear of the hotel to take advantage of the rural views, thus providing a more tranquil area for sitting out in good weather and enjoying a glass of wine .

Breakfast and the swimming pool.

Initially we had to reject the room as we had paid more than the economy offer and the room was very noisily sited. The receptionist gave us another room which was much better from that point of view , but there was no air conditioning and the window only opened on one side. Result was we had to sleep with curtains pulled back and the glare of lamps outside.

Bed were a little hard. Premier Inn bed are better
