Friendliness of the staff. The brasserie dinner menu allowed a 'mix and match' to create more choices. Good breakfasts. Parking arrangements - little that the hotel can do about this since it is a design issue - but guests need to be prepared for a fairly long walk to their cars

The hotel is in a very good location. When we arrived the check in was easy but there was no one to help with cases. The room was really good. Well decorated, light and airy, good temp control, but most impresive was the size. Two double beds and still enough room for ten year old to run around! Bathroom was also very clean with nice towels. We used the swimming pool and gym which was also nice. The gym is a little dated but still usable.Changing rooms and showers need updating. The bar areas are very nice and staff very helpful. Breakfast has good variety and was hot and cold as needed. For fruity people there isa really good choice of VERY fresh fruit. 1) no one to help with cases. 2) At breakfast we need a table for 7 but waitress insisted on a table of 6 with a chair at the end.3) pool changing rooms and showers are not clean and the whole area is too wet. 4) We left the label on the door for the room to made up and the tea/coffee bits were re-filled but the beds were not made.5) i wanted to share photo of my lap top on the tv. i had hdmi cabel. the tv had the input but the remote could not pick the channel.i called the house keeping who tried but in the end said it was a standard remote. Later i went to my sister room and she had a diferent remote and i could pick the hdmi option however it was too late. I would excpect a hotel with conf facility to be able to deal with this.

I have stayed at this hotel on over 20 occasions, it is a great location for my business but I also enjoy the rooms , hospitality and the gymnasium. The staff are always very helpful. On this occasion the evening meal and breakfast were not up to your usual standard.

Very nice location, rural but close to the M1, though you don't hear or see it. Modern, clean and the rooms very nice. Breakfast was marvellous, something for everybody and eat as much or little as you like. Can be very noisy at the weekends as there was 2 weddings taking place there the weekend we stayed. Children running up and down the corridors and loud boisterous wedding guests disturbed our sleep. It was also the first time I had ever seen a male guest having breakfast in the dining room in his pjamas. The dining room staff stared and talked amongst themselves but nobody asked him to go and get dressed, I thought perhaps they were making an advert. Weird.

All of the staff including reception, restaurant, Leisure and room servicing were very friendly and helpful. The Restaurant and Leisure facilities were also excellent. Strolls around the Grounds and lake were very pleasant and relaxing, The interior and exterior of the Hotel including the grounds were clean and tidy and in good order. Nothing to dislike, however during each day of my stay, the hotel hosted 2 corporate events in their meeting rooms and when arriving back early evening, availble parking spaces were at the far end of the car park and there was a lot of hustle and bustle in the areas around reception also the bars were crowed. Although this did not impact at all on my stay, it is something that other travellers may experience and may like to be aware of.

Our first room was truly awful, it was like walking into a wardrobe as it was so dark, we looked straight out onto a brick wall. The hotel was absolutely full of cylcists, pushing and josling us. Friends we met there had flown straight in from Dubai, we tried to order a snack, but were told we are too busy, but if you go to your room you can have room service!!! We did not wish to sit in each others rooms eating! We clarified that the were too busy to serve us food downstairs but if we went to our room then they would bring the food there, yes they replied that is correct. Very very disappointed.

The Hotel its self was a really nice looking place and inside was clean and very nice The staff in certain areas could do with more training, in the restaurant a young girl served us and just didnt seem to know anything about the dinners when asked and had to keep going and asking. On Check out our bill was incorrect BUt the girl on reception didnt apologise for the errors or anything and actually made us feel that she didnt believe us. Her attitude needed to changed. The bar areas were really busy yet there was only 1 person serving behing the bar, the wait was rediculours for a 4* hotel, we have stayed in many 4 Star hotels and this in our opinion was the worse and really didnt warrant 4 Stars

Clean comfortable hotel providing value for money I made a specific request about my room, which given the last minute nature of the booking, it was not surprising that the hotel couldn't satisfy the request, however there was no mention of the request at all, as if I'd never made it or it had even been acknowledged which was annoying.
