Excellent fish and chips Nice view over canal and fields Easy to find and park
Having to lug my case up steps from the lift and not being told about this when I checked in. As a woman travelling alone, being given a room at the top furthest from Reception Room in roof very hot, but noisy win window open Bathroom needed updating
Far too expensive for rooms that have not been updated for 15 years.
Music outside room a bit annoying but otherwise ok
Food excellent rooms large and bed very comfy
Breakfast in conservatory watching the swans/ducks. Not being rushed to finish breakfast. Size of my bed and lovely linen. Liked having a sofa in my room and opting for a canal view room.
I'd like the parking spaces to be wider. I moved out of my first choice as I felt I was so close to the car next to me.
The location was fantastic, right on the the canal, and not too noisy with the traffic
There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel
Location, comfort and cleanliness of the hotel, and the friendliness of most staff.
Did not like grumpy waiter who having seen we were using the wine glasses for water (no others available) at the evening meal, assumed we were not interested in any drinks and just walked off, this resulted in our eating out the following evening.
The twin room I stayed in was clean and spacious. The food in the conservatory restaurant was first class and reasonably priced. The view from our room was very picturesque (we overlooked the canal). A thoroughly enjoyable stay and would recommend to family and friends.
Loved the outlook of the twin room overlooking the canal. Easy access to walks and towns. Leisure club a bonus pool very good after a long days walking.
Nothing all good.
Location, by the canal. Good size family room. Spa facilities good
Having to sign into wifi every time to use it. Changing cubicles in the spa would be preferable.
had to keep logging in to wifi. very anoying
It looked nice
I was angry that every time I went out the hotel I had to have my key card reset, my card didn't work when I tried to get into the leisure club we stood waiting for 15 minutes before we were let in when I did get in I was the disgusted at how dirty it was the room was only cleaned 1 day out of the 4 nights I was there this was because we were back in around 4 every day to get ready for the evening this is when the rooms were cleaned they couldn't get into ours because we were getting ready the shelf fell of the dressing table and bruised my wife's hand badly this is only a few things and I have never complained about a hotel but in this case it was just to much money not to.
Free car park nice pool
No hot water at 10.30 in the morning
Spacious room New powerful shower Cleanliness Gym, pool and leisure facilities Friendly staff Car parking
Dated decor Yellow doors to bedrooms Price was over £115 for the night room only
Excellent service. Fantastic food. A really lovely hotel. Great views over looking canal and hills.
Beds a bit hard
Dining room overlooking canal. Excellent buffet breakfast and very comfortable beds.
Poorly sited toilet roll holder. WiFi difficult to access and poor reception.
Very friendly and efficient staff. Housekeeping excellent. Room spacious, comfortable and spotless. Didn't make it to breakfast as I slept in both mornings.
Great location next to a canal. It's a good base to explore the area for walks or stop for a well deserved rest on route. There are no airs and graces, it is a comfortable and considerate hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast being the most important meal for me was hearty and generous.
Although the rooms are fairly sound proofed some door stoppers would be useful for exterior doors which slam loudly. It was disturbing to hear people come and go.
Leisure facilities good, ample parking. Pleasant walk into Skipton on the tow path. Food very good. Staff very attentive. To be fair looks like some parts are being updated.
Bar could do with a refurbishment smoke stained ceiling tiles spoilt it. Bit of a wait on arrival at reception so left and came back.
nothing of note
Size of bedroom Comfortable bed Car parking facilities
leisure facilities and room space
Need to do something about television signal.
Poor water pressure for the shower. ( 4th floor room)
The food and the friendliness of the staff. The room was excellent. Everything really.
breakfast and restaurant meals are excellent the staff are polite and helpful
there is no air conditioning in the bedroom so they were hot and found it hard to sleep comfortably at night
