The welcome and helpfulness. The canal and countryside views. Great breakfast. Swimming pool. Comfort Meeting & chat with owner. helpful staff and attention to detail could have used a spin dryer in the swimming pool for wet swimwear. Very slightly softer bed. Having to leave!

The staff were lovely!! Friendly without being 'in your face'. The room (executive with four poster bed and huge bathroom) was brilliant: my wife loved it. This stay (one night) was a short break without our disabled daughter (only the second break in 17 years!!) and it was perfect. The hotel couldn't have been better. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Our room was ready well before we expected. Which was great as I had forgotten Register Office weddings aren't as long as church ones. Housekeeping a little unobservant - crack through tiles in shower ran from ceiling to floor (bath edge) and needed attention if water was nsot to seep through to the plaster. Cold tap needed re-washering. Both reported to reception.

Lovely setting on the banks of the canal, especially on a bright sunny, snow covered morning. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Nice breakfast. Poor customer service from reception staff. Couldn't find our room and no assistance offered. Small, dated leisure facilities - was expecting much more as they had apparently been recently refurbished. Lack of attentiveness by staff spoilt our stay

Helpful staff, good size room, reasonable facilities. Good view (if looking onto canal). Reasonably priced. Good parking. Enjoyed our stay. Room was a little dated, and although clean, some small points of damaged tainted an otherwise fine room. Pool much smaller than expected.

We had a last minute break at the hotel between Christmas and new year. The apartment we stayed in was great for our small baby as we could put him to sleep in his cot in the separate bedroom, whilst myself and husband still enjoying room service in the lounge area. Basic room service menu but adequate for our needs.

Lovely staff and v good service. Breakfast was very good. We had a refurbished room which was excellent. Good pool. We would definitely stay again. Our children felt the beds were a uncomfortable. My son left his suit and when a relative went to pick it up she had a choice of 2- she didn't know which was ours! Bit sloppy housekeeping!

That we were upgraded to a suite. Are original room was occupied by somebody else. Breakfast staff were slow at bringing things to the table. Asked for toast twice, it eventually came, after we had eaten our breakfast.

Agnetta from Poland in "Central Europe" was very good - only disappointment was that she didnt join us for a drink in Skipton. The other staff were very good as well. The bath & shower sealing was a little jaded with insects coming out of a crack - everything else was very good. The original booking through booking.com requested a Studio - the booking was not apparent when checked on the rendezvous system although the paperwork suggested it was there - we didnt get the Studio - just a standard double room - I think we were charged £10 too much in hindsight.
