Lovley hotel, wish we'd had more chance to use the facilities, short ride into town so well suited for tourists.
At £9 per head we decided to skip breakfast and get one in town, not cheap
Staff were extremely helpful

Good location Plenty of parking Swift check in Large clean room
The whole hotel particularly the corridors, lifts, bedrooms and bathrooms are all a bit dated.
Lovely view from bedroom overlooking the canal and view from the Dining Room.
Poor Wifi even in main reception areas. Mattress unbelievable soft unable to sleep-but that our own preference.
Totally shattered when finally arrived and ordered room service. Warned that it could take a while as the restaurant was so busy, but it arrived very quickly which was really appreciated. All in all, our experience was unfortunate, but under better circumstances, the hotel would have been perfectly comfortable and supposedly just four minutes from our business venue!
Took an hour driving round Skipton to locate hotel due to nearby road closure that perhaps hotel could have emailed ahead about as other hotels do. Manager did her best to help give us directions on phone (running out of charge) but was also flambeeing in the restaurant so very busy. Receptionist unable to help and unfriendly when we finally arrived.
Excellent fish and chips Nice view over canal and fields Easy to find and park
Having to lug my case up steps from the lift and not being told about this when I checked in. As a woman travelling alone, being given a room at the top furthest from Reception Room in roof very hot, but noisy win window open Bathroom needed updating
The setting and ambience of the hotel is excellent. The guest facilities were very good, and the staff mostly very friendly and attentive.
The people doing the laundry for guests need to sort colours out before washing. My experience was not good - the jeans were washed with all the white clothing, and the white came out quite blue! However, no complaints about the service. The Reception staff were sometimes a little abrasive when asked questions.
Far too expensive for rooms that have not been updated for 15 years.
1)Leisure facilities closed at7pm on sat veg 2)North Sea pie containing salmon and peppers very small. Was accidentally overcharged good thing I checked the bill No veg with this meal 3)stayed here to break our journey from Scotland to London. The noise was horrendous Sounded like people below us having a party in their room with the windows wide open Doors slamming throughout the night till past 5am No apology from reception until my husband mentioned it 4)told it was a 20min walk into Skipton Perhaps the lady at reception could actually try it one day. 5. The white wine was served warm.
Music outside room a bit annoying but otherwise ok
a blond woman wearing glasses bursting in the room at 2pm in the afternoon the door flew open and she dashed in momentum took her about 10 feet then she said everything ok then just left without any explanation basil faulty lives on in drag
Food excellent rooms large and bed very comfy
- the lovely staff, the excellent food, the strong service-orientalion of everyone that we encountered there -the setting (though rooms looking out on the major road running along the front of the hotel were limited to enjoying it during mealtime). The lovely canal and swing bridge, the well-trained mallards and swans (and cygnets) and the adorable pony that must have been hired from Central Casting to adorn the bucolic views beyond the canal.
- my wife is disabled and wheelchair-bound, so this 'didn't' will apply only to the 2% who share her category - there is only one 'wet bathroom' out of 72 that was equipped for severely-disabled use (roll-in shower, grab rails and amble room to maneuver a wheelchair). I booked through Booking.Com but my specific request never made it to the hotel staff, so I partially accept the blame for not calling the hotel independently to verify the details that would have matched my wife's needs} - the rooms fronting out onto the highway were noisy (we were there for four nights but were able to move to the rear for the final two).
Breakfast in conservatory watching the swans/ducks. Not being rushed to finish breakfast. Size of my bed and lovely linen. Liked having a sofa in my room and opting for a canal view room.
I'd like the parking spaces to be wider. I moved out of my first choice as I felt I was so close to the car next to me.
The location was fantastic, right on the the canal, and not too noisy with the traffic
There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel
Location, comfort and cleanliness of the hotel, and the friendliness of most staff.
Did not like grumpy waiter who having seen we were using the wine glasses for water (no others available) at the evening meal, assumed we were not interested in any drinks and just walked off, this resulted in our eating out the following evening.
The twin room I stayed in was clean and spacious. The food in the conservatory restaurant was first class and reasonably priced. The view from our room was very picturesque (we overlooked the canal). A thoroughly enjoyable stay and would recommend to family and friends.
Loved the outlook of the twin room overlooking the canal. Easy access to walks and towns. Leisure club a bonus pool very good after a long days walking.
Nothing all good.
Location, by the canal. Good size family room. Spa facilities good
Having to sign into wifi every time to use it. Changing cubicles in the spa would be preferable.
had to keep logging in to wifi. very anoying
