On the outskirts of Skipton, in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, this charming, family-run hotel boasts a wonderful canal-side restaurant, great leisure facilities and idyllic views of the Leeds and Liverpool canal.

Skipton is a delightful traditional market town and is known as the Gateway to the Dales. On the banks of the canal, surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire dales and within easy reach of York and Harrogate, the hotel offers the best of traditional Yorkshire hospitality and good accommodation.

Dine in the canal-side Baby Swan Restaurant and enjoy the wonderful views. Watch the colourful narrow boats drift by, sometimes with equally colourful characters on board! The restaurant also offers wonderful views of the local wildlife. Local swans nest on the canal bank here every year and proudly present their latest brood.

Family-run, the Rendez-vous at Skipton offers a warmth and a professional hospitality, with staff who really do care.

All guests can use the hotel’s leisure facilities during their stay, free of charge. Children under 16 years are welcome to visit until 18:30, but must remain under the supervision of an accompanying adult at all times.

Alternative therapies such as Reiki and Indian head massage can be provided by Catherine Nelson, a holistic therapist. Advance appointments are essential.

Dine in the canal-side Baby Swan Restaurant and watch the world go by. Watch the canal barges and colourful narrow boats, and the sometimes equally colourful characters on board or admire the abundance of local wildlife. The local swans nest on the canal bank here every year and proudly present their latest brood.

The hotel is proud of its restaurant, which offers straightforward, tasty food, cooked by an experienced and professional kitchen team, dedicated to supporting local suppliers.

Bill, the restaurant manager, not only cooks, but also entertains with his own individual style, cooking delicious flambé meals, including wonderful Steak Diane.

Tempt your taste buds while you sit in the beautiful new conservatory on the canal side, with sweeping views of the hills and dales. The new conservatory is now available for the ultimate waterside dining experience and for private party hire. It is even licensed for civil wedding ceremonies.

The view is wonderful both day and night and the atmosphere is great for family celebrations.

You could also choose to relax in the hotel’s detached public house next door, the Snaygill Arms. The pub offers fresh home-cooked food and home-made bar meals. There is a fantastic open fire in the winter and a marvellous screened outside dining area in the summer. The Snaygill Arms also boasts the only outside play area in Skipton, as well as free Wi-Fi wireless internet access and a cash machine (with no additional charges for cash). There is plenty of parking available.

By Car:
The hotel is situated on the A6131 Skipton to Keighley road, one mile (1.6 km) south of Skipton town centre .

By Train:
The hotel is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from Skipton railway station.

By Air:
The hotel is approximately 16 miles (26 km) from Leeds Bradford International Airport. Taxis are readily available from just outside the airport and the journey from the airport to the hotel should take about 30 minutes.
