I can't fault the hotel in any way, but breakfast did slightly dissappoint - food left too long meant dry bacon, black pudding and eggs. However this did not in any way detract from an overall excellent rating. Particular mention must be made of the bar staff - second to none in their service and interaction with guests. I'd go there just to have a drink and bar meal. Breakfast could have been better.

The room was spacious and set out lovely. It was extremely clean. The bar area was lovely too and the staff were polite and helpful. The only really picky thing, is more milk should have been made available as 4 is not enough if you like more than 1 cup of tea and more than 1 milk in your cup.

Friendly staff, well performing. Nice design of a room. Good gym and swimming pool, free sauna by the pool. Good food for reasonable prices. I wasn't abel to book any spa treatment because it was fully book. Quite disappointing as it was one of the reasons why we came.

We liked the breakfast. We also liked the pool and changing facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The topiary bar was unusual and extremely pleasant, like a large open aired conservatory with a view of the countryside. We are hoping to return to this hotel for a weekend break which will give us the opportunity to meet family and friends.

Liked best: Facilities like the Pool, jacuzzi. Bathroom mirror - perfectly lit.TV in the room was very good, modern, and had good channel selection to choose from. You can't please everyone with a mattress, but firm was brilliant for us, very comfortable. The late bar staff were the best, so very welcoming and willing to please. Breakfast buffet was well cooked and plentiful. Hotel was clean and well kept throughout. All the staff smiled - which makes a huge difference. Corridor door next to our room clatterd closed with every passing guest, it was on the corridor route to the spa, so was well used. We were cold in our room at night and didn't have any control of the heating. The bathroom needs a better method of extraction that is controllable by guests/or connected to the light switch so it powers when in use, what is there is inadequate.

Good bar with Sky Sports showing the Ashes cricket. Nice variety of seating in it, with some quiet secluded areas, other comfortable public areas. Good range of whisky at main bar. Poor range of whisky at the lower bar in annex. The hotel should run a complimentary shuttle (4x4??) to Warrington town centre - friend was stuck for hours as taxis refused to travel out to Stretton in the bad weather.

Free wireless all around the hotel, and at a good speed too! The hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere but actually this middle of nowhere was where my business was. Not the best place if you are looking for thrilling nightlife though.

I do enjoy the location and the general facilities on offer - rooms are good and always spotless. A four start hotel that is always relatively busy should always have the bar area and tables cleared . Staff dont automatically clear up when passing what is a table that clearly requires to be cleared up . Shower wasn't working properly ,however, this was resolved for my second night . The dinner I had. The main course was retruned and a replecment was sorted out and a complimentary drink was offered ( however I did not accept the offer) . There are no offers for regular customers in relation to discount , specific rooms etc .

Good facilities that I didn't really have the opportunity to use that much due to the time of my arrival and where I needed to travel to after the conference was over. Some of the grass verges in the car park weren't that grassed and the walking route through to the entrance wasn't that clear when I arrived in the dark. Some better signposting and direct paths perhaps (taking "walking desire lines")

Staff were efficient, welll informed and welcoming. The room was quiet (unusual for a large hotel) , clean and comfortable. Dinner with an allowance towards the a la carte menu was a good idea.Breakfast choice was also very good.
