I have stayed here several times on business, and I go back for the well-appointed,clean and comfortable rooms, welcoming, hospitable and helpful host, great breakfast and excellent value

Very good reception and the owner spent time showing us around the room and giving us the info we needed. Breakfast excellent and makes a change from the run of the mill overcooked stuff you get in hotels

Purpose built comfortable room and beds. All you need, including teamaking and TV. Service excellent with gorgeous breakfast choice, while we were there my son and girlfriend joined us for breakfast on Mothers Day and we had Bucks Fizz too ! Day we left it was snowing heavily and the car was even cleared for us ready to go. Thanks a million.

Could'nt really fault Hanson House. It was clean and comfortable and with a warm welcome followed by a great breakfast the following morning. Would certainly stay again if in area.

Fantastic welcome and hospitality from John Hanson at his guest house. Rooms are based in a modern purpose-built building at the back of the family home, entirely separate to the house. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet, as it was well away from the main road. John couldn't be more helpful. He gave us his discount card for a local Indian restaurant (Indian Summer, which was also excellent) and even dropped us off at a family wedding as he also runs a private hire business. Breakfast was good, served in the dining room at the back of the house, just through the patio doors. The house was as spotless as the guest accommodation. Very warm and welcoming. Cannot recommend highly enough, John and his mum - who helps out when John is out driving - clearly work very hard to make this work and deserve excellent feedback.

No complaints whatsoever. Run as a bed and breakfast should be run in all respects.

I liked the very friendly staff and their helpfullness, how clean and comfortable the annexe apartment was, the appliances provided, the closeness to the town and also the countryside.

The sausages were a bit small with the breakfast but apart from that can't fault the b&b with anything. A nice place to stay.

Maid service seemed to be absent so if only staying one night fine but if staying 2 nights it would appear to not expect beds to be made, crockery to be refreshed and the bathroom to be wiped around. I have never stayed at a b&b before where these niceties have not been carried out, so expensive for what we got.

We were staying in Hanson House for 5 days because it is less than 10 minutes walking from Rockwell Automation Center. Everything about our stay was just excelent, Mr. Hanson welcomed us even though we came late at night, around 10 P.M. At that time, there was no store around that worked, so Mr. Hanson gave us dinner for free. It was very kind gesture. Every day, our mini fridge was filled with free soft drinks, which was also very kind and generous. Our room was very clean, and everything is new so there are absolutely no complaints about anything. And I need to mention that breakfast was just excelent. I would gladly recommend Hanson House to everyone!

The purpose built annexe adjoining the house has their own seperate entrance and weather permitting garden area with table and chairs. it is very quietly situated, no noise from anything. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for a short stay. An good, quality breakfast served each morning. The location of this property is very near to Maldon and lovely surrounding countryside. Parking on site is a huge advantage too. We would definately stay again.

The room was immaculate, very clean, bright, spacious and well appointed with lovely little extra touches. The location was quiet on the edge of Heybridge, yet 10 minutes drive fron Malden seafront. The off street parking was a plus , as was having your own front door and the lovely quiet garden. The host made us very wellcome and the breakfast was excellent, Highly recommended.

The wifi details could have been easier to find, had they been in the wellcome pack.

Friendly welcome, room was very nice, furnishing was well done, spotless bathroom. Fresh milk for tea/coffee in room was a nice touch. Choice of breakfast was good, served in a very pleasant dining room. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.

Comfortable, spacious and quiet, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had access to a lovely garden right outside our door and the breakfast was freshly cooked to perfection! It has all the attributes of a really good hotel but with a much more personal touch.
