Cheap and cheerful
Lovely location Does what it says on the tin.
Couldn't find the TV remote and I have to say the motion sensor bathroom light made me think that the place was haunted for the first few hours. However once I realised that the room marked Bathroom needed to have the door closed I managed to get comfortable for the rest of the evening.
Friendly welcoming staff. Nice en-suite.
Room was chilly and heater did not really improve the situation. Lots of stairs to rooms - narrow and tricky with a suitcase.
Facilities were great
Clean, tidy and great value. Very friendly and efficient staff - I shall definitely book in again.
The facility was heavily booked and a little noisy during the night; TV reception leaves something to be desired (but you don't stay here to live in your room!).
SStaff were always ready to help.
The facilities in the room was very modern, remote controlled radiator, rainwater shower and soft close doors.
the shower screen didn't stop any water and there wasn't a bath mat. The towels were a little thin and view from the room was poor. The corridors were old looking and noise from the corridors filtered into the rooms. The picture of the hotel on the website is not representative of the hotel.
A good location for sight seeing around Birmingham. Plenty of secure parking. Heating was on, place warm enough. Breakfast is bought daily at £6 for full English, or £4 for continental. Not a lot of choice, but plenty to eat. Hot drinks available all day and night.
First room offered was appalling. Was offered a better room at an increased price. Internet was hard to connect to. No love or attention has been given to the hotel. It badly needs updating. Young staff team could do with some more mature leadership. Felt we didn't matter. Wasn't made to feel welcome, not shown to room, not chatted to.
Location and clean
Appears run down in places
Greyham taking time to talk with me and giving me advice.
Confusing layout and hard to access.
We liked the price which was very cheap. We were only staying overnight and the lack of an ensuite did not bother us. The room was clean, warm and quiet.
Accomodation suited it's purpose for an overnight stay. Clean, comfortable, quiet and near to the university. Lovely lady cooking breakfast!
One towel for a double room! No face towels or floor mat. Small/'compact' but o.k. for overnight stay.
Price. Cleanliness. Nice separate bathroom. Being renovated.
Hard pillows. No TV (no problem for us). No tea and coffee facilities in room (again not a problem for us). Duvet too thin on single bed.
Super cheap, really comfy beds and in a quiet location.
Quite basic, strange layout with bathroom shared between 5-6 rooms with only one toilet... Next to a graveyard as well so quite earey at night.
bed was comfortable place was quiet, warm and safe
Need more bathrooms clean towels more frequently
No tv in the room the internet don't get the room
The price is great. Clean and comfortable. No ensuite, but you cant expect that for the price. Its my first choice whenever I'm at the University for work.
Can't complain about the absence of an ensuite given the price. Excellent.
Absolutly disgusting. Immediately cheched out on arrival. Dirty. Only one member of staff.
Priximity to my business venue Easy to book Friendly staff Security 5 stars
The smell that welcomed me at the entrance door The the whole hotel needs a really good touch up from walls to windows A telephone in each room wid be an added benefit Did not like the idea of sharing a bathroom and toilet. The bed was not comfortable The plasticy mattress cover made it incomfortable to sleep Noisy at times Cleaners need to attend to the corners when vleaning as they were not clean not just in my room
Good facilities, very nice rooms for low prices.
The awkward location of some of the rooms, and the fact the the ensuite rooms aren't very clearly labelled.. I got lost a few times.
While not ultra-luxurious, the hotel was ideally situated for our family christening at the church next door. The facilities were perfectly adequate and clean, friendly staff, good breakfast and handy also for a family birthday meal in the city.
good location for us meeting friends who live locally. Clean and quiet area.
our room (44) was not designed ergonomically as it was almost impossible to turn on the bath taps without getting in the bath. the hinges on the door between bed area and bath were in desperate need of oil. Overall a bit cramped.
