Harbour Inn  

We spotted this place 13 years ago when the children were small and promised ourselves we would come and stay one day, just the two of us. So we did. The location is perfect. We chose a room at the front with a view of the harbour which is the reason we booked the harbour inn. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent value for money and the beer was also excellent... but not with breakfast. The room was clean and tidy with all the usual complimentary extras.

There are plenty of good places to eat in Porthleven. Sadly the harbour inn doesn't compete with the best of those places. The food wasn't bad in any way, it was just the kind of food you would find in a thousand other restaurants around the country. If you're an early to bed type of person then you might not like the imposing sound of the bar underneath you. We did the pub quiz sat in bed. Fair play though, they do provide complimentary ear plugs which is a first for me. In reality the bar noise died down shortly after stop tap and it didn't spoil in any way what was a great break.

Location, staff were friendly, meals were good. Entertainment on the Friday and Saturday were good.

Bed far too hard and uncomfortable. The rooms even though clean were looking tied and really needed a refresh especially the shower cubical. The price is a little steep. I would recommend the Harbour Inn due to its location but I do feel the rooms could possible do with a refresh.

The location in a typical Cornish Fishing Village yet not too remote

I chose the Harbour Inn for a trip to Cornwall with my girlfriend, it was her first visit to Cornwall and I wanted a view over a typical Cornish fishing village and the Harbour Inn located on Porthleven harbour was the perfect choice, it was also a perfect central location fr which to visit all the sites of southwest Cornwall. We would definitely stay there again.

All the staff were superb, exceptionately friendly and very helpful. The hotel was clean and the room was well appointed. We would certainly recommend the Harbour Inn to our friends and will definitely stay there again.

Accommodating and informative staff,excellent room overlooking harbour,location with most areas of Cornwall easily accessible,especially at this time of year(early December). A thoroughly enjoyable 5 days.

We liked the location and the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.

The noise from the cake refrigerator in the lounge area was rather annoying so we moved to a table elsewhere.

I know the Harbour Nnn very well as a restaurant and somewhere to go and have a drink. We like it very much so decided to have a night in Porthleven so we chose to stay at the Harbour Inn.

We had a delightful room. The inn is attractive to look at from the outside and the inside matches. The location is superb and there are parking facilities. The staff were very helpful and the food was of a good standard. We would use it aagain

The view of the harbor on a summers morning is beautiful.

Its a welcoming and friendly environment.
