Ocean Apartments  

The location and basic size, design and layout of the apartment was really good. The rooms were spacious, bathrooms were great, the sofas were really lovely and the view of the western harbour was excellent. Wifi was slow but worked well enough as it was free. Bus service every 10 mins during the day into the city centre was perfect and easy to use.

Check out is too early at 10:00am for a holiday apartment as one has to do washing up etc, pack and tidy foodstuffs and kitchen before leaving. 11:00 would be more relaxing. Also I didn't like not getting my deposit pre-authorised credit card slip back on check out. I guess the apartments deal with a different class of person generally. The state of the apartment was clean but tired with lots of scuff marks and showed many signs of heavy usage. The hallway smelled of carpet deodoriser. The sofas were fine but the rest of the furniture was of a cheap domestic quality and some of the electric points did not work. The table and chairs were spindly and wobbly and the hob had burnt on grease on the top. The door shelf in the fridge was broken. The worst thing was that the mattresses were cheap springs and completely worn out. We both woke up with back-ache. Definintely not hotel quality mattresses. Because the apartments were called hotel apartments I guess I expected hotel quality furnishings. Overall it was OK but not quite up to expectation as per photos on the website. I was not completely relaxed as I was worrying that the management might blame us for the knocks and scrapes, which were not of our making.

We really enjoyed the stay, and it was a fair price. We will stay here again, when going to Edinburgh. Bus line was right outside the door, so travelling to city center was very easy and fast.

Little things were missing such as salt, pepper, ice tray, smaller wine glasses, small cd player relatively new flat but damage done to caprets, settee had hole in armrest, worktop at cooker had been burnt at lip. None of these caused us any real concern but will need to remedied at same point to maintain flat standards.

This is my second stay at Ocean Apartments, I enjoy rhe location, it is close to the bus line,.The apartment is comfortable, clean and quite efficient. The staff is very helpful, polite and considerate.

I would have to say the television, it was difficult for us to operate, it is quite old and does require upgrading. Our stay was for7 nights which meant we did not get a change of towels. On a stay that long we were required to wash our towels-this is time consuming when you are on vaction.

Fantastic building and apartment. Very well equipped. Wish I could have stayed longer. Will be back next time I'm in Edinburgh.

I liked the ocean apartment the apartment was comfortable and relaxing I also liked the views from the windows I enjoyed ma stay so much that im looking already on booking my next trip and I would like to go back to ocean apartments again.

Excellent access to town. Good parking. Warm apartment. Comfy bed. Safe and quiet locality.

Apartment smelled of burned parmesan cheese. In need of a little decorative maintenance (marks on paint, hole in door, poor sealant in bathroom)

Excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. The apartments offer so much space and comfort. Would highly recommend and stay again Ocean apartments in Edinburgh.

Could not fault our stay at the apartments, big roomy apartments, with everything you need for a self catering stay.

Convenience of having separate living space and kitchen to share with friends staying over too.
