So much more than a hotel room, these stylish and contemporary apartments offer modern accommodation in a prestigious waterfront development, close to the Royal Yacht Britannia and Ocean Terminal.

The Harbour Apartments are located within a stylish new development in the vibrant and thriving area of Leith, with Edinburgh city centre just 20 minutes away. Once a busy shipping port, Leith has undergone huge regeneration in recent years and is now one of the city’s most exciting new areas, with modern facilities and amenities.

Guests in the apartments have access to the impressive Next Generation spa and sports facilities next door, which include 12 tennis courts, 4 squash courts and an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool. These facilities do incur an additional cost.

With free Wi-Fi wireless internet access throughout, complimentary parking for over 100 cars and lift access to all levels, Harbour Apartments are perfect for family holidays, group bookings, corporate travel or a romantic getaway.

The thriving, modern waterfront development of Leith is home to the Scottish Executive, the Royal Yacht Britannia and the Ocean Terminal, a cosmopolitan and contemporary area that offers a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars.

The very heart of Edinburgh city centre is just 20 minutes away. The number 10 Lothian bus service runs regularly between the city centre and Leith.

New Town Apartments offer an attractive alternative to traditional hotel accommodation. Run on a hotel basis, with a minimum one-night stay, the apartments offer all the freedom, independence and convenience of your own apartment at a more cost-effective price than a hotel room. With the flexibility of your own apartment, you can explore all that Leith and the magnificent city of Edinburgh have to offer, at your own pace.

The apartments’ on-site concierge can help with any tourist information that you need. The office is open and the concierge available from 08:00 to 20:00.

Please note that the apartments are based in the Leith redevelopment project. As this project is ongoing, some apartments will include views of work sites as well as the Firth of Forth.

Room information

Built for spacious and stylish living, all apartments have comfortable bedrooms, which can be arranged as twin or double rooms on request. All bed linen and towels are provided. Apartments are serviced once a week, with fresh bed linen and towels provided each time.

Additional servicing can be arranged at an additional cost.

The apartments have private bathrooms with powerful showers and baths.

The apartments have fully fitted kitchens with everything you need in order to be your own chef, including utensils, toasters, ovens, microwaves, washing machines and dishwashers

Each apartment has a lounge with a comfortable sofa, a TV and a DVD player.

Some apartments have views of the harbour, across the River Forth and over the city of Edinburgh. As the area of Leith is still undergoing extensive redevelopment, some apartments may also have views of building work in progress.

Area information

Leith has played a leading role in Edinburgh’s strategic and economic growth for centuries. Leith is a dynamic fusion of traditional Scottish enterprise and cutting-edge style, bustling with cafés, bars, pubs, shops, cinemas and an eclectic mix of businesses. Now more lively than ever, the port of Leith gives you all the advantage of city life, with the timeless views across the River Forth providing an impressive backdrop.

The Royal Yacht Britannia is just 300 metres from the apartments. Britannia is the 83rd Royal Yacht since the restoration of King Charles II in 1660 and is now permanently moored as an exhibition ship at Ocean Terminal in Leith.

For a little retail therapy, the Ocean Terminal shopping centre is also just 300 metres from the apartments. The shopping centre houses around 85 stores, 4 restaurants, 3 coffee shops and a variety of bars, as well as a cinema and a day spa. Princes Street, Edinburgh's main shopping district, is approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) away.

Edinburgh Castle is about 3 miles (4.5 km) from the apartments. This magnificent ancient stronghold dominates the city’s skyline from its position atop Castle Rock. At once fascinating and beautiful, this historic castle is Scotland's second-most-visited tourist attraction.

good location for buses but decided to us car as use car park near edinborough castle, roadworks for new trams caused massive problems getting in and out of town at peak hours!

would of been perfect but no lights worked !

TV only had 5 channels so not able to access radio or music channels. Not able to play music through DVD. Cushion covers in room we very stained, living area slighly shabby - has seen better days!

Spacious, airy apartment, excellent views, great location

Electrical eqpt (tv, dvd etc) was of cheap quality and didnt fit with the standard of the rest of the accomodation. Dvd was broken and had to do without one until next day. Tv was old fashioned and too small.Would have been better to have lcd tv and better quality dvd player

Spacious apartment with good facilities. Liked the sports complex but had to pay for it. Apartment staff were friendly and helpful but needed a reminder to get things done.

A few minor issues with dishwasher not working, no tin opener. Had to ask more than once to fix dishwasher. Never did get tin opener so gave up asking.

Good bus service outside hotel to city centre(please note: exact money is required on bus). Ample parking. Although area is being developed, and so immediate area has some building work commencing, the view of the city/Royal Yacht Britannia/ Arthur's Seat/castle was magnificent. Apartment was a good size and well equiped.

Away from city center. Quite place. Access to public transport was good, as there was a bus to city center just at the corner of the road.

The hotel provides internet service at its office. The room is nice, clean and spacious. I had a good view on the fifth floor.

The dishwasher did not work. The door of the freezer could not close. The address of the hotel was very easy to get missed up, as there are many other streets use the name of Western Harbour as part of their names.
