we were A bit disappointed with the resturant meal was expensive which we didnt mind but our side dishes came 10 mins after we got our main meal which meant we had eaten most of the meal

Lovely building. Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Fantastic outlook over the lake. Nice breakfast. Good internet access.

Slight niggle that breakfast at the weekend was a buffet and we didn't realise we could ask for eggs other than scrambled.

The restaurant served up poor meals for the price. Don't mind expensive meals' so long as the quality is good.

breakfast- cold plates always makes a poor start, self service items lukewarm so getting worse, french butter( whats wrong with british?) thank goodness for the fruit salad and hot tea. Lovely ornate ceiling but needs a dust!

It would have helped us if reception had reminded us how to use the key card for entry to room, and for lights.

food was poor . some unedible and pricey for what it was. Improve that and would have 5 stars from me

A nice easy to use modern hotel

Great staff, lovely rooms, big bed, decent tv, the best bathrooms in any like for like hotel.

Blankets/sheets on bed prefer a quilt, when breakfast is waitress service you would expect the breakfast items to be hot - sausages and scambled eggs were barely warm!

The room was warm and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was well cooked and the service good both there and in the bar.

The room lacked coffee and tea making facilities. The food was a little expensive. The bill for my stay included two breakfasts when i said on arrival i was travelling alone and did not want.

we stayed for 1 night as we were at our friends wedding. The whole day was lovely we had a great time. It was a lovely friendly atmosphere the staff were great the food was great we couldnt fault it.

Our room was very clean and roomy, the bed was very comfortable. Our only fault was that on a very windy night the window was a bit draughty and the noise of the wind interupted your sleep.

Room was lovely, very big, beautiful bathroom with great big bath and walk-in shower.

Reception staff didn't offer any information regarding meal or hotel facilities, and when we went back to inquire they gave us the wrong information - said meals where 4.30 to 10 and you could eat in the lounge, when we inqired in the lounge the bartender/waiter was very rude and said we couldn't eat there, when he relised we were staying in the hotel he said well for residents we could sit in there. Menu in room was completely wrong and there was a seperate menu because it was New Years Day none of which was not suitable for my children or elderly parents. The manager in the resurant did try and sort something out but didnt explain menu and we ended up with chicken and gravy on a plate with no vegetables after waiting nearly an hour(aparently you have to order veg from the sides menu ?) we where staying for my 50th birthday - what an awful experience- better service at the premier inn. Wont stay again

I had my wedding at Hardwick Hall on Sunday 30th Dec 2012, the staff was excellent they couldn't do enough for us on the day and evening and from first booking to the day itself and the decor was beautiful. a special thank you to Joanne and the other wedding planners for making everything seem so simple ("but I bet it wasn't") and Mathew our toast master who kept everything running smoothly throughout the day. thank you all at the great and magnificent, Hardwick Hall.
