Loved everything about this hotel , we booked the premier room and was pleased with everything in it , massive comfy bed , lovely big bath plus a walk in shower , fridge , flat screen tv ... It was just perfect , will definetly be returning again .
Found the alcohol a bit expensive but as we only stayed the night it was fine .
The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The room was lovely, warm and comfortable. Water, fruit and sweets were a lovely touch. Breakfast was fab.
Unfortunately the sound from one of the events could be heard in my room. Wifi signal was weak.
The room was small and the furniture too big and overpowering. It was very cold in the room, we had to sleep with our jumpers on. At 4.30am we considered getting up and travelling home but changed our minds due to having a little alcohol the evening before.
Staff Facilites Location Food
Lovely fresh produce.
Too many cakes and declines, Notre sandwiches please!
The staff were very attentive and our room was just the best
Nothing we disliked
We booked a premier room for a treat and could not fault it. The food was amazing. Is in our top five hotels in the north east. Really impressed us.
Sadly no swimming pool, but we new that before we went.
Very nce and comfortable Hotel in an excellent surrounding.
Restaurant The Ribhouse is not delivering the quality you would expect from a Best Western Hotel. Things to be done here to bring the restaurant up too level.
The bed was comfortable. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was very good with a great selection to choose from.
Bed was really comfy and the room was very close to the ball we were attending this proved a massive bonus and my partner did not feel well. Extremely clean.
We love staying at Hardwick Hall due to the beautiful architecture of the building and scenic surroundings. The rooms are huge with lots of space for our possessions, there is no noise and we always get a comfortable good nights sleep. The large modern bathroom with glass doors and walk in shower looks luxurious and I like the nice complimentary toiletries.

Location was great for access to the national park and town centres. We stayed 2 nights in a premier room which was very luxurious with 4 poster bed and fabulous bath, double sinks and walk in shower. We dined in the lounge on our first evening which I thought was decent value. We dined in the Rib Room on our final evening- and had a lovely porterhouse steak and paid as much as you would in any nice restaurant. We found the staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was cooked to order and we were served local produce- very filling!
The statue of the man in reception never failed to freak me out a bit!!
Location comfortable large bed nice view large bathroom
Poor coffee both in room and at breakfast
A lovely large room, huge shower and bath. Beautiful grounds. Room service was reasonably priced and delicious!
The rooms wer large spacious and luxurious what a change from the usual hotel room! The price was excellent value will definitely go back but drive next time
The locatin was a bit in the middle of nowhere and if you hav no transport it was costly to get to by taxi! Just a bit too far from public transport!
The tiny room we were given. I booked this room well in advance (in May) and was really disappointed with it. I'm pleased we were only there for one night
Cracking nite good service at bar
Bathroom was huge with a lovely free standing bath and shower with 5 sprays! Room lovely size, bed really comfortable Breakfast really good, nice to see poached eggs, liked the breakfast being cooked to order rather than buffet style Plenty of parking Beautiful setting and views
Some of the furniture was a bit mis -matched not very coordinated. TV - we had to keep retuning it for the television every time we turned it on. Breakfast very good but thought a 4 star hotel would offer freshly squeezed orange juice.
Very comfortable night in a great bed with luxurious linen.
Ate in the steak restaurant - just a little disappointed with quality of fillet. Had great expectations, but weren't met.
Gorgeous room Food was exceptional (fish and chips) Grounds are exquisite
Check out time could be later.
Nice cosy bar area. Fantastic grounds. Excellent steaks. The executive rooms are spacious and comfortable
Nothing to speak of
On arrival was shown to a very small room I compalined as and was shown to another room which was no better. I was given a third room that smelt of food and had no heating. When I complained again I was told that it was not the best room in the hotel as it was over the kitchen. I was told there was no other rooms available. I was not prepared to pay £90 for a room that was so small and had heating so I checked out.
