The breakfast was nice.
The room was old and dated and the only modernisation was the new bed and wardrobe. Found the bathroom very poor quality which had a leak upon arrival. This was fixed after making staff aware.
The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The noises of the plumbing.
The bed was comfortable and park area around hotel was quiet. Jazz night was interesting.
Breakfast could use some fresh fruit and yogourt.
The whole hotel and staff were great lovely surroundings food excellant fantastic atmosphere. Would recommend this for a great short stay romantic weekend away.
Great shame the pool and spa facilites were not operational
NICE SETTING FRIENDLY PEOPLE
Great location and great atmosphere. We particularly appreciated the friendly staff. The food also was excellent, as was the beer. Room 2 was great.
Room 5 was comfortable and warm but the lack of a window (which clearly you can't do much about!) and the lack of a wardrobe were not ideal. We shall definitely be coming back but will request a different room.
Good food and drink. Room clean and lovely views.
Need to sort the water pressure problems out in bathrooms hot cold hot cold ouch!!
We had a three course evening meal as well as breakfast. The food was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here again.
Wish the pool was in use.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The place itself was very warm and relaxing. The food was excellent and attention to detail in every way was wonderful. The Management were extremely helpful and very friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back again.
The shower wasn't very good. Unfortunately the three mains we would have possibly ordered were off the menu.

Bathroom a bit dated slight leak near toilet. some areas on corridors not very clean
we were very happy with room small but every thing you needed .staff very good, and food was fantastic .would love to go back sometime .
Evening meal and wine was excellent
Room was well appointed and functional but a bit bare. Some plants or stationary or something would have helped to make it feel more like home.
Nice friendly relaxed atmosphere and food was excellent.
Relaxing place, good food, comfy bed, we will go back for alonger stay,
nothing, all good
Family run business and very good staff and food
pool and sauna closed
The wonderful building in a great setting. The restaurant is in a lovely wood panelled room. The dinner served in there was excellent. Great modern bathroom in a more period styled bedroom. Very cosy bar, one of the best we have been to in a hotel.
Hate to complain as I don't want to put off anyone from staying. But a few little grumbles: No shower gel, thankfully we had taken some. Breakfast: No fruit offered, fresh or tinned. Even small B&B ,s offer this. No choice of fruit juice, orange only. No yogurt. Not asked if we wanted white or brown toast. Coffee, not served in a caffetiere, it is a nuisance to keep asking for top-ups. The full breakfast served in a stack, very odd. Sort out these things then perfect.
Lovely setting, friendly atmosphere, delicious food, excellent room. A jewel in Pately Bridge's crown. Highly recommended.
