Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable enough despite bedding issues. Free car park. We travelled to Braintree to do some shopping which took half an hour by car, unsure how you would get there without a car (29 miles away). Check in/out - quick and efficient. Has a steam, sauna , pool, Jacuzzzi and gym. If you have a car to explore nearby areas - not a bad base. If you're looking for a spotless hotel with amenities on your doorstep - not the place for you. The bedding was dirty which we found very off putting. The complimentary biscuits in the bedroom were already opened!!!. The jacuzzi wasn't working and apparently hasn't worked since the summer. The hotel itself is situated in the middle of nowhere, however there are a few shops such as newsagents, chinese takeaway, post office and fish and chip shop about 20/30 minutes walk.

The only good thing I have to say is the staff were pleasant. The park inn looked nice on the internet but was very disappointing. The first thing that hit me was the carpets were very dirty and there was a musty smell that was in the hall ways on entering the bedrooms the carpet was much the same, The bedding was clean except the runner on the end of the bed was full of stains and looked very tired. The bathroom was fairly clean but mould in the bath and the towels looked very tired again. The main reason I booked this hotel was for the leisure facility's, what a let down the pool was closed , the jacuzzi looked like an old dirty bath tub that had not been cleaned for ages, The sauna floor was filthy and someone had made a big mistake of varnishing the wood in there this is a grave error it smelt terrible who knows if the fumes are toxic, the steam room was full of mould too all in all very run down looking. The last thing to say £14 gbp a night for internet connection what a joke it only costs me that for a month unlimited connection

Stayed overnight as a group, cleanliness is not a high priority in this hotel, used food trays outside an adjacent room from the time we arrived until we left, one couple in were given a room and the bed hadn't been changed or the room cleaned.

The Staff often make a hotel - in this case they did. From reception to housekeeping to bar staff - nothing was too much for them. The rooms were very clean and comfortable The only disappointment was the fact that the restaurant was not open on Sunday evening although the bar snacks menu was suitable.

The hotel is tired and dated, as it was a Radisson hotel expected better. Breakfast was poor wouldn't stay here again. If I wanted this I would stay in a Travelodge. The only thing is say is that I didn't use the pool.

I was booked for Dinner bed & breakfast for Friday & Saturday Night. The Restruarant was closed Friday, Saturday & sunday night & dinner had to be ordered from the Room service menu in the bar along with a specials board which was the same for both nights. I was not very impressed with the breakfast as on both mornings, considering that I was down for breakfast at start time, the cooked side of breakfast was only just warm. It should have been piping hot.

I'm sorry, very little. I wished I had stayed in a travelodge. The hotel was dirty and not very appealing. Staff were fine (all one of them!). I wouldn't book this chain again.

The location was the only bonus for us as it was close to where we needed to be. Large patches of damp mould on the wall under the window. Bad discolouration in the grouting around the tiles in the shower area. Carpets throughout the hallways and in the room were badly stained with all sorts of different coulred stains.

It was close to the venue of the wedding we were attending !! We chose this hotel as it has a restaurant, but when we arrived Friday evening were told it was closed, then had to go out with a 4 year old to eat. When we returned after our meal, we went to our room to find the only lights we had were in the bathroom, very inconvenient, when trying to unpack and make a hot drink. Not only were 2 bulbs blown but 2 had been removed. The carpet throughout the hallway looked as if it had once been flooded and looked very dirty and stained, not a very welcoming image, makes you wonder where else has been neglected. I will add that once this light situation was brought to the attention of housekeeping, they found us 2 bulbs, so we were only 2 out over the beds.

Convenient location. Poor house keeping such as kettle not functioning, no telephone in the room and empty shower gel container. These were however fixed promptly by the reception staff.
