We were so grateful to check in very early after the 19 hour flight. The nearby moor was a good place for a brisk "shake off the jet lag" walk later in the afternoon.
Great breakfast, free parking, quiet, comfortable room, Wi-Fi fine in dining room, not constant in room 8.
Wi-Fi cut out in room 8
Charming old house and village. Much nicer than a soulless airport hotel. Staff efficient and helpful.
Hot water very noisy. An airport shuttle was mentioned on the website but didn't exist. Taxi fast and cheap though.
Close to Heathrow but in a countryside town. We were welcomed even though it was very late when we arrived. Lovely big bedroom and nice bathroom. Lots of hot water. Two pubs nearby for anyone arriving earlier. The bus from the airport worked well for us. Good breakfast the next morning. Big old house with character.
Tickets for the bus could be a problem. I don't think one can pay the driver.
History of building. parking very good.
Not that welcoming on arrival. We're not told breakfast times for example. Paid extra for dog but received no extra service. Owner hardly acknowledged us until morning we left.
It didn't feel very clean and mice were spotted.
Good location, very convenient for Heathrow. Pleasant, well furnished room and friendly welcome. Off road parking. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Wifi let down because password in room didn't work for strongest signal router.
2 pubs within short walking distance upgraded me to a fantastic room provided toiletries strong wifi ordered me a taxi for the morning, about 10GBP to Heathrow Terminal 5 short bus ride from the main Heathrow bus terminal (10 min, maybe less) Friendly neighborhood
I had to leave!
The place had a lovely atmosphere. Would return again as an under cover hotel inspector as a really down to earth place.
Bed too hard, pillows had no pillow protectors just 1 pillowcase. Toilet brush dirty and to list had residue of wee under seat on top of toilet from last guest, sofa in room had not been hovered under for a while. I run a holiday home management 5 star so ultra fussy. This is just a general hygiene.
The staff were very freindly and went out of their way to help in any way that they could.
The old manor feel, it is like from a storybook
My door cannot lock as the lock is faulty
Staff , location and breakfast
beds a bit uncomfortable
Close to airport Helpful, friendly staff Good parking (free) Excellent breakfast Quiet location
Nothing to fault
Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Location close to Heathrow makes this a value and really fun compared to other closeby hotels. Elaine very attentive and helpful. Furnishings are very cozy. Excellent breakfast, nice neighborhood especially at Crown pub nearby.
Bed was too hard..mattress needs to replaced..pillows too soft. Everything else was great, highly recommended! Ask Elaine for cheaper taxi service phone number..since black taxis at airport overcharge - 23 pounds!
Loved the Hall, our second time staying. Location is excellent. Cab to Heathrow very reasonable. To T3 approx £7-8.00. Breakfast is great, cooked to order with variety. Elaine and her team make you very welcome, offer assistance and make it all worthwhile. Too good to miss-we will return next UK travels. Easy to get into London via U3 bus and then underground. Two pubs in village. Free parking if required. Come and enjoy this beautiful hall and it's history. Beds, pillows fabulous. Tea and coffee facilities in your room.
I had to pay for parking maybe I got it wrong but I thought it as free,
Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff. Interesting house would love to explore.
We wanted to stay close to Heathrow. This was close without the noise! Loved the village atmosphere. Parking on site. The staff were fabulous. The facilities were clean and comfortable. Loved the Vegemite at breakfast!
Historic (1675) building, nice welcome and great breakfast. Choice of pubs nearby.
Bathroom upgrade would be good. Shower too hot.
very good location and very peaceful
Located in a quiet village with local pubs and shop. Perfect for Heathrow, with secure car park across the road. Full of character and charm. Staff were friendly accommodating and helpful. Room was fairly small, bet well equipped and well laid out.
Probably not to everyone's taste - it is more of a traditional guest house than a large shiny modern hotel.
Very old, beautiful guest house. Elaine and staff very friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.
No negative comments.
My Stay was short but being able to get into my room by 9am was a bonus
