Position was good. Live music in the bar was nice.
Room quite shabby, bath leaked into room below! Bed very hard.palking tricky.food avrage. Room not worth the money.
An excellent breakfast, the best coffee I've had in a restaurant
Having the old fashioned bath tub with feet, this meant there wasn't a shower curtain so had to have a bath instead of a shower.
close to all amenities
Staff are excellent. Accommodation is very good.
Very poor Wi-Fi unable to get any signal for most of my stay.
Great location. Very friendly & accommodating staff. Great car parking on site. Excellent breakfasts. Fair sized room.
Room was very disappointing. Extremely dated & nothing like those shown on website. No attention to detail. Creased, grey & torn net curtains. Mish mash of furniture, far too much for the room, a broken sofa 2 leather chairs & a pouffe. Felt like they were in storage ! Nothing co-ordinated Tiny free standing dressing table mirror. Dingy lighting. No shower cubicle or curtain. The towel rail was positioned so low that even the hand towel draped on floor.
Comfy bed. Breakfast. Free wifi.
No complimentary bottled water. Bedside lights didn't work.
Quirky decor, well stocked bar, central location.
Wi-Fi poor, Parking not easy to find
The room was lovely and quirky and plenty big enough for two of us. The evening meal was excellent and made all the better with live jazz style music
Service & Excellent Restaurant
Lack of a residents lounge
Location Parking Friendly staff Food
Live music in the evening. Really good food reasonably priced (early bird worth taking). Great tasty breakfast. Well decorated old style boutique rooms. VERY GOOD STAFF.
No hand towels. Dated bathroom.
Friendliness of staff Excellent Breakfast Good dinner Live jazz
Pillows were flat and hard Duvet was too small
I loved the location, it is right in the heart of Harrogate. We love live music and jazz is one of our favourites. We had a meal on the Sunday evening and it was like a Michelin rated meal. The host's were very attentive to our evey need and the breakfast was scrumptious. We would and have recommended this hotel to friends and they have booked in for November x we hope to come back soon.
There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.
A welcoming place to return to whether staying for pleasure or work
The car park was not the easiest to find when first arriving at the hotel
Lovely staff, extremely friendly. Best breakfast in a long while
Room needs major upgrading. Bin in bathroom still full from previous occupant. Long black hair under clean coffee cup. Packet of biscuits left all broken. Carpet in bathroom - yeuk. Three down lighters in bathroom not working. Very uncomfortable bed, two singles bolted together but mattresses at slightly different heights. Sash window - not able to close as had no catch. torn net curtain. Lots of street noise all night long. Dangerously loose bannister rail on second floor which the hotel knew about and had not fixed as the chef told me about it.
On arrival we where greated warmly and shown to out room and the food down stairs was amazing we felt well looked after and there was a really friendly aptmosphere. Everything was excellent.
We liked the location of the hotel as it was within easy walking distance to shops and eating places and although we had already booked an evening meal before we left home you could in fact have stayed very local to the hotel with a good variation of eateries within a few yards of the hotel. The hotel served a good English breakfast
We arrived early around 11 am (booking in time 2pm) and although we were only looking for the car parking facilities it was made very clear to us that we were early! We both thought there would have been nicer ways to greet your guests. The room was perfectly adequate, if a little dark because of the decoration, and the Saniflo system in the bathroom was a little smelly for my liking, although the bathroom was clean
Location, very good breakfast served by a friendly man.
A little noisy if facing the street.
Quirkiness;non-chain;bedroom;bathroom;food;ambience;restaurant/bar..Will definitely stay again.
Not a lot.
Individuality & design of room, amazing cooked breakfast & lovely restaurant area.
strange buzzing from behind bed....kept me awake a bit but not huge problem.
good location, well furnished interesting comfortable rooms, great atmosphere in the dining room, good food and service plus the entertainment. Breakfast was good quality, with plenty of variety. I was made to feel welcome as a solo traveller and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.
Enjoyed the live jazz band in the evening. Nice to have something going on in the evening.
when we arrived they had a staffing problem, so our room wasn't ready for an other 2 hours, which wasn't a problem for us when we returned they upgraded us to the studio appartment which was so beautiful with wonderful riews of harrogate. the live jazz entertainment was brilliant and the food was out this world. the staff was very welcoming, we would stay here again.
Central location . Quirky room. Decor a little tired ( paper peeling off ceiling) but overall a charming place . Had an excellent evening meal . Great atmosphere with live jazz . Would visit again .
