Location for convenience. Breakfast was very good value.
Nothing really was disliked except the expensive wine but that is the same in all hotels.
Whilst the bedrooms are clean and of a good size they are in need of an update General areas of the hotel not particularly clean and desperately in need of an update Reasonable location
Breakfast poor - everyone was complaining about the coffee if that is indeed what it was. The rest of the breakfast was made using poor quality ingredients. Watered down or at least very watery juices. Hotel is looking tired particularly corridors and communal areas - in need of some money being spent
Reception staff pleasant and helpful.
Light bulbs not working in the room and toilet not flushing well. Housekeeping clearly don't check this kind of thing. Disappointing.
Everything was fine
The breakfast was very tasty, a good size bedroom and bathroom.
The receptionist was very abrupt at first but became more helpful later that evening. The pillows were not to my liking. The parking costs were a bit high, for a over night stay.
Coolness of the room and noise from lifts in bedroom.
Location was excellent as we attended a concert at the HIC which is literally next door. Staff, without exception, were courteous and helpful, room was clean and comfortable.Would definitely stay again.
Room service finished at 11pm, with only certain items being available after that time, which is not a huge deal but was disappointing as we had been at a concert and wanted to eat in our room rather go to a restaurant, what we received was also not exactly as menu specified.
Location for \town Centre and good facilities
Although our visit was short we have nothing but praise for the hotel staff, facilities, location and will definitely stay here again.
Good location for visiting restaurants, shops etc. Rooms very clean and comfortable.
Car parking was quite awkward.
Excellent location for visiting Harrogate short walk from town center, parking underneath hotel all under cover.
Reception service was good and room was nice. Direct access to hotel from carpark. Room was nice and comfortable.
Room was nice and comfortable, although window didn't shut properly and there was quite a draft coming through. Bar was short staffed and expensive. I don't mind being charged nearly £10 for two drinks, but expect nice quality venue. Tables and furniture were worn and 'tired'. Had to brush food off seat and ask barman to wipe table down as there drinks rings/spills on the table. There was a collection of dirty dishes and glasses on the bar. If Holiday Inn want to charge top notch prices, they need to provide top notch facilities and service.
Location, price, room
Very corporate but to be expected at this hotel.
lack of hot water or water in general on the first morning which was reported but 'only a pressure problem'
bed a little hard
Staff very friendly, attentive, helpful and efficient. Beds were hard but preferred them this way and, as a result, slept soundly. Breakfasts were excellent.
Very little. Lifts were annoying as only two of three went to car park and we always seemed to get the third that didn't. Also car parking rather expensive.
Location was brilliant, the room was nice and clean and overall good value for money.
Fact you had to pay for WiFi is not good and it was really expensive.
This is virtually in the same building complex as the Harrogate International Centre.
Lobby provides no privacy.
Hotel had extremely friendly staff and the rooms were comfortable, Location was excellent being linked to the Conference Centre and close to the town centre and a good variety of restaurants.
Very warm welcome and efficient check-in. Very good value meal deal in the restaurant.
Dirty "brown" mark on shower curtain. No welcome pack in room i.e road map, places of interest etc. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together. No info for breakfast times.
Room, cleanliness, food and staff were all up to scratch, despite this being a very busy time of year. There were several bus loads of guests in residence, but in general advice was given on how best to plan our stay.
One problem, linked to the time of year and the number of guests in residence, was that there were only three lifts available, and this caused significant delays at times especially for those on the higher floors.
