Evening meal - good Breakfast - amazing! Rooms - good Quiet!
Tired - needs updating
lovely out of the way place, although only a mile or so from the main road. Nice to be out in the country side. Very good value for money. Lovely tasty and hearty breakfast. And cosy cottagey interiors. Friendly helpful staff.
A lick of paint on the large window sill in the dining room would be good as there were black marks running along it and it spoilt an otherwise nice room.
mold in the room meals breakfast not really good bad price-performance-ratio
The room was lovely, very spacious and great facilities The staff were really helpful and friendly The food was excellent
Travelling in the dark, fog and rain it was a bit difficult to find but worth it when I got there.
Staff Breakfast Comfort Cleanliness This place has no downside! We were all very impressed!
It was clean, warm, nice bar and staff
No phone signal (sad i know)
The room was clean and comfortable and set out in the country for a peaceful stay.
Large car park.
Restaurant was closed the night we stayed, without any advance notification. Payment was taken from credit card the day before we arrived without authorisation.
standard of rooms very shabby, damp and musty in rooms 9/10/16. could do with a good clean and overhaul. Bed linen although clean bed was damp and non existent pillows.
good bed with warm covers windows that opened on fresh air food was good pleasant hotelier adequate parking country location
nowhere to sit - dining chair in room décor very tired no signal, but that's not their fault
it's difficult to find a room for a family with 3 children, so it was super to have this one near canterbury and leeds very quiet
the bedroom and restaurant weren't totally clean
Location convenient for A20/M20.
Accommodation tired. Lack of Facilities at accommodation or close by (you have to travel to Lenham village 5min by car).
Staff were friendly and helpful, allowing my mother and myself to book in early to change before going on to a wedding.
The high water pressure caused us a few problems in the bathroom!
This could be an excellent small hotel if the owners invested to upgrade the bedrooms and generally tidied up the outside areas
Rubbish in the car park Lack of maintenance to the grounds which included the view from our bedroom window of weeds and brambles. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very dated.
Front of house staff - Colin, ran around for all guests to ensure they were catered for at all times - An absolute asset to the business.
Hotel reasonable price for the area. Staff were friendly. Double room was comfortable with coffee/tea making equipment. Quiet location with free parking convenient for a one night stay for catching the euro tunnel train.
I thought it was a bit cheeky that my debit card had already been used to pay for my room before I arrived at the hotel. As I might of been going to pay by cash, which I sometimes do when I am travelling. We were with friends and as the hotel is a little way out of the village decided to have our evening at the hotel. Our friends ordered the curry which arrived cold and tasted like very processed chicken. My husband and I ordered the ham egg & chips which we were told was not smoked, but which did have a smoked taste. We were all relieved that we had not ordered the breakfast for the following morning. Would stay again as convenient for ferry/train but would not eat here again.
Nice sized rooms, let down by illfitting toilet seat and no television
The food was very basic, swimming in packet gravy instead of the gravy being served in a separate jug leaving the choice to the diner. So disliked the main course we did not order dessert or the breakfasts . Lovely food at The Red Lion in Lenham itself.
location in a quite area and easy parking
we had to ask 3 times for the heating to be put on as the room was cold and damp, dinner was rushed by staff and we were asked to vacate the resturant before coffee was served, resturant was in need of a good clean, cobwebs hanging.
Hot water Price/quality ratio
The peace and quiet.Good service,good food.good choice.
Staff and food. Position very nice.
It needs some tlc money spent in dining area and em suite bathroom
very comfortable, well appointed room and bathroom. Good food.
Location - a drive along a narrow road, nowhere to go for a walk and no local facilities.
I appreciated being able to take my dog into the bar with me for dinner. The room was lovely.
Nothing at all. Though quite nice if you like sleeping amongst dead insects.
Two words........HYGIENE PROBLEM. I have a dog who wouldn't sleep here.
Very spacious family room which comfortably accommodated 5 of us plus our dog. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again.
