no wifi in room
Everything. We stayed in the penthouse suite at the top of the buliding. Wonderful views over the harbour. The food was so good we didnt even try anywhere else and the staff were brilliant even when they were really busy.
Laid in bed you can see the church Abbey. Stunning view! Staff are lovely. Would highly recommend.
Very romantic and the views out the room was amazing, excellent food and the menu was well balanced and catered for everyone, staff were very friendly and polite.
The staff were very friendly and adjusted the menu to suit. Room was excellent and clean. Close to some great fish and chip shops. View overlooking the harbour was fantastic.
Because of its location which is close to the harbour and fish market, noise was a bit of an issue first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
Great view from bedrooms up to Whitby Abbey. Comfortable clean rooms and great breakfast.
Wifi signal on the top floor poor.
Luxurious furnishings, great views of the harbour, friendly service.
The breakfast coffee was a bit weak!
EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY, THE ROOMS WERE COMFORTABLE , CLEAN AND MODERN IN THEIR DECORATION. ALL THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT, BREAKFAST FIRST CLASS. WOULD STAY AGAIN,
The location, overlooking the harbour; the staff, friendly and helpful; our room, spacious clean and comfortable; food, fresh wellcooked, ample breakfast
A little noisy early morning with deliveries but unavoidable of course. The bar was lively and served great cocktails. We loved it but those seeking an early night after cocoa may not.
Food- restaurant was amazing, loved the starter size sharing portions- decor was great, really relaxed atmosphere.
that the room windows wouldn't open more than an inch- it was one of the hottest days this summer and we couldn't get any air into the room so was swaeting as soon as we were out the shower- using the hairdryer was a nightmare,
Excellent accommodation, great location with fabulous views of the abbey. Friendly, attentive staff. Excellent food. We have stayed on two separate occasions and would not hesitate to return.
Wonderful room, incredible location overlooking the harbor and the abbey on the hill above, delicious breakfast.
Crowds on the street below were a little loud, but to be expected. The price was not inexpensive.
Combination of a bar with small number of good rooms.
A bit noisy early in the morning but on the other hand interesting to experience the local businesses starting their day.
The location is great and the food in the restaurant is amazing.
The breakfast was fit for a king
We were in room 1 opposite the fish market. The room should have had a fan or air conditioner in as the noise from out side at night kept you awake and even with the windows shut their was still a lot of noise from the night boats and seagulls Also the sky tv was not working. The breakfast was served between 0900 and 1030 it would be better if you could have it between 0800 and 1000 as you could start earlier if you were visiting attractions. Or returning home. Parking was not available on site. However we were given a visitors parking permit to park up on the hill side.
Comfortable, well appointed rooms. Restaurant very good for breakfast and dinner
Minor point but the entrance to the rooms is around the back past the back entrance to the kitchens. Once inside this was not a problem
room had excellent views, comfortable bed and good shower
room wasn't cleaned properly, tv didn't work, windows are rubbish so heard everything outside until early hours and when we asked for a veggie breakfast we was given half a greasy piece of bread accompanied by cold beans and a few mushrooms, which is a shame as we eat here regularly and the food is beautiful.
Staff, location, room all 1st class. This was our 3rd stay and we plan to return soon.
Parking a problem but can't be helped. Did a few circuits before we found a slot but it was free with Harry's permit. Can live with it.
The wifi don't work and there was no attempt to fix it when the issue was raised.
Location excellent Staff very friendly Dinner top class
Breakfast could have been better, bacon crozeled
Location. Breakfast. Very friendly staff.
Could do with a couple of glasses for water in the bedrooms (was a warm night). Again, with it been warm and having no choice but to have the windows open, those damn seagulls can be quite noisy.
Location and accommodation
Very weak wifi in room
Stayed in penthouse suite, lovely And spacious. Food was good, try the steak on a slate, breakfast was also very good.Staff very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in the penthouse suite, it was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Whitby. The purpose of our visit was to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The staff had left a complimentary glass of prosecco each and a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries.... Yum!
