Staff were lovely and very friendly. Room was basic but very clean.
The shower did not work and there was no offer of a reduction on the bill.
Evening meal and breakfast were very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Nothing we didn't like.
The view, Friendliness of staff, Comfort, Food, Parking permit
The windows are not very sound proof, Expensive food and drink out of the the inclusive breakfast
Harry's offers so many positives - its location in the village, the beautiful views across the harbour, the spacious rooms, and its warm, welcoming charm on a cold winter's afternoon. The staff were very helpful and apologetic for any inconvenience due to their cellar construction ( which was minimal). The breakfasts were generous and delicious. My husband loved the kippers! The staff were happy to provide a continental breakfast to us as we were leaving early.
Sorry - can't fault it. We really enjoyed our time there.
Loved the view from our room, loved our restaurant meal and the excellent breakfast.. nothing negative!
Nothing to dislike. The suite we had was extremely comfortable with a separate lounge with 2 sofas and lovely views. The bed was so comfortable which was a bonus. Food was good breakfast very tasty. Staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Overall our favourite place to stay in Whitby to date.
Harry's lounge is right by the water and there is a view of Whitby Abbey from the room! It is a short walk from almost anywhere you would want to go in Whitby. The restaurant serves high quality food for reasonable prices and the breakfast was lovely.
There was some building work going on near the building and having to squeeze by a digger that was parked down the side of the building with a suitcase and large bag wasn't ideal.
Everything was simply perfect and this is now my favourite place to go. The staff are excellent and so friendly and helpful, the facilities are amazing along with the central location. The food is absolute quality. I will definitely be returning.
We liked everything and we even met Harry!!!!! Ha. The staff are amazing.... so helpful and friendly, the food is delicious, the view is fantastic, the penthouse was luxurious and so comfortable and relaxing, the atmosphere in the bar and the restaurant is 'buzzing'. EVERYTHING about this place is perfect. We had a truly amazing time and will visit time and time again. Thank you!!!!!!! Xxx
Great location . Nice friendly young staff ...very welcoming .
harry,s bar ,excellent location ,breakfasts excellent ,suite very comfy , enjoyed a few days with friends who had been before . and who had always enjoyed there stay there .
every thing fine ,a suggestion is at two steps into accomodation a hand rail would be a help as i struggle with steps and rail would help if or when we come again
I was meeting with an old army buddy I hadn't seen for 47 years. He and his wife also stayed at Harry's. It all went great. Thanks to all at Harry's and see you again soon.
No negatives at all.
Excellent accommodation, staff very friendly, superb location overlooking the harbour, beautiful room.
Spoilt only by the use of cheap hangers in the wardrobe, some wooden hangers would have been nice for not a huge expense.
Location in town was spot on. Food was excellent. Staff were great. Penthouse was top notch and perfect for our honeymoon. Fabulous views.
Only slight quibble was that no where in the booking info did it mention that parking permits were available, we only found this when we booked in and had already paid to park in one of the town pay and display car parks.
Lovely comfortable room.Very friendly staff helpful with lots of smiles. Excellent food we hope to return..
I love Whitby and I have stayed there many year. Harry's Lounge is perfect fabulous room's with great views a real treat. I will stay there again and highly recommend it. Thank you.
Penthouse suite to die for , I'd love to buy the room , size of rooms really nice and felt really homely with great view of harbour and view of the abbey at night was really nice , be back again !!
Couldnt stay had important call but thought harrys was excellent..
Staff very friendly. Location must be one of best in Whitby. Suite very comfortable. Great food
Everything about this place was fantastic
Having to go home
Location View Clean and modern Breakfasts Heating good Friendly staff
Couldn't get shower to work until fixed next day Not enough milk sachets to last the day. Fresh milk and fridge would've been better Outside access to rooms, lots of stairs No reception area No late licence for residents
Excellent location food great
the whole experience was very enjoyable, accomodation was clean and roomy, bar clean and good ambience, the restaurant very good
the breakfast was ok no problem with it but not quite to the standard as the evening meal
The view from the spacious comfortable room is over the outer harbour towards the Church and Abbey on the hill and the sea to the left. Free parking is available on the street nearby - if there is room! Harrys supply you with a card which you scratch off the arrival date and can park for 4 days. Unfortunately during our stay there was never a space so the long stay for us, £6.50 for 24 hours. Harrys is close (<50yds) to two of the fish and chip restaurants in Whitby. The Magpie and Quayside which has recently been voted No 1 for 2014. We tried Quayside and were very impressed - so glad I went to Whitby. The restaurant at Harrys which we booked for Sunday was excellent. The variety and choice should suit everyone. A clever starter menu gives you the chance for a number of small dishes and the steak which I had was cooked to perfection. We booked for 7.30 and when shown to our table the restaurant was full always a good sign but we tend to be among the first at 7.30, not in Whitby. Breakfast from 09.00 served in the ground floor bar area, again a good selection, freshly cooked and very tasty (No warm bins here). Free Wi-Fi throughout Finally the staff. Super friendly and accommodating.
Slight music beat could be heard and the odd "Bye" but it is a bar. a minor minus against a lot of plusses
The view from the room was wonderful. Breakfast staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Room looked nice.
No fridge in room. No coffee machine as advertised. Was expensive, could have included free bottles water, tissues, less tacky toiletries. Lacked attention to detail, forgot to replace milk. Tiny bathroom.
