If it weren't for one serious issue this hotel would have provided a very pleasant stay. The room is a decent size, with a room safe, bath, and a comfortable bed. It was possible to see the back of Windsor castle from one side of the bed, which was very nice. This hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of Windsor. Unfortunately on the Saturday night of our stay it became apparent that the hotel has a function room inside the building which is easily capable of disturbing your rest. On this night my guess would be that there was a class of the 80s reunion on, judging by the sounds of Van Halen, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna et al that literally managed to vibrate our bed until 1am. When my wife phoned the reception to find out what was going on she was simply told there was a function on and that nothing could be done.

Not great value for money and a bit overpriced for what it is advertised to be! But was clean and relatively comfy! Glad I paid some more for an upgrade tho

My room on the 4th floor was unusually spacious with a view right into the castle grounds. The decor was beautifully sophisticated with a touch of whimsy. The staff was very pleasant, empathetic, and very accommodating. The room (King bed by the way) and bathroom were spotless. My dinner in their Tower Restaurant was delicious and the wait staff people were fabulous. I asked for the coolest spot, since it had been a rather hot day, and I could feel a slight cool breeze from the AC. Perfect. Also, the waiter told me exactly how long I'd been waiting for my dinner, during which I was happily winding down with my wine and guidebook, and so my 2nd glass of wine would be free. Ask for room 408. These items were only slight inconveniences. The elevator wasn't working from the 3rd to the 4th floor, which was OK except for luggage handling. The staff was very helpful with this problem. I think that there was a switch on the wall just outside the bathroom for turning on and off the water heater, which wasn't labeled. One beside it turned out to be for the heated towel bar rack. Within about 20 minutes I had hot water again. The climate control for the HVAC was down close to the floor on the side of the unit in a dark corner, so nimble knees and a flashlight were needed. Really, these are minor things one should expect when away from home.

The Hotel was located right opposite Windsor Castle so you open your curtains in the morning and there it is! This was our third visit and likely not our last! Admittedly a bit of a noisy hotel as it is located on the high street but to be honest with you - it is within crawiling distance of some great restaurants and wine bars so a small price to pay!

The location There were insufficient towels and it took two requests to receive extra towels. The shower in our room was dreadful. It soaked the floor and even into the bedroom. Cannot believe previous guests had not complained we did. The staff need extra training - couldn't pour wine correctly amongst other things.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. As a hotel and spa you would think you can at least use the pool as part of your stay but you had to pay £15 to get in! Although the hotel's occupancy was obviously less than 40%, they stuck us in a weird shaped corner room with no view whatsoever. They were helpful enough to move us when we complained that the heated towel rail was not working and the room was too cold. They moved us just one room across the corrideor which was much bigger and had a castle view - what were you saving it for?? Service was not good at all - we were told to "move you stuff between 2 rooms and pop the key downstairs when you're done" - really? 4 star hotel service? Not even offer to help? The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever experiences, we both had bad backs by the end of the weekend. Shower was weird - good power but only comes out in a big circle, so actually no water is available for you if you're just standing in the shower, and the water just goes everywhere. I definitely wouldn't stay there again as Windsor isn't that big anyway so if you are a few more mins away from the Castle it's not the end of the world.

Good location in central Windsor. Nice room. No parking. Most staff spoke English as a second language which made communication difficult,

Really good Great views of the Windsor Castle. Close to everything. Staff were lovely Hot water in shower took about 10 or more minutes to come through. the parking was a long way away. you have to use the local railway station parking which is not secure at all or the local shopping centre parking. Other than that it was great

Lovely room. Very spacious and comfortable. Nice view over the rooftops of windsor. Large comfortable bed. Bathroom very nice with shower over bath. Was a little cold as no heater in bathroom and the window was very drafty. Didn't use the restaurant but it looked very nice. Staff very polite and helpful. Would stay again.

The four poster bed was amazing, Large and well decorated - the bathroom was really nice, very clean and tidy. Spacious bathroom. As I wanted my getaway to be something really special, I chose to pay a lot of money for one night. However, we were put on the first floor. The castle view was great, but for a luxury room for that price, I'd have thought we'd have been put on the top floors. Also, the room was really noisy - probably because of the listed windows perhaps, but the noise from the street made it really hard to get good sleep. Unfortunately.

The staff at this hotel was unfailingly polite and helpful. My room was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. My only complaint is that the beds are not terribly comfortable. But that was only a small problem considering the fantastic location and outstanding service of this hotel. As I mentioned before, the beds were not especially comfortable...but not at all impossible on which to sleep!

Room was perfect, directly opposite the castle. Very comfortable/luxourious. Bathroom very good. Views from balcony breathtaking Very small reception desk causing long ques to check in/out. Only one person available to check out. We had paid on check in & had no further costs to pay for, so should have a "Quick check Out" Restaurant/bar area very poor service. We were shown to a table, after having to go & find a waiter willing to talk to us. After being ignored for 20 minutes we then left & went to a pub for lunch.

The bar area Reception Manager Convenience Room 101 was horrible but kindly exchanged for 104 which was ok but for awful noise of fire door outside Load of ghastly blokes smoking on front door step on arrival was awful. Not a good first impression, very off putting.
