Stunning views ,excellent breakfast, quaint hotel. We would highly recommend.like going into a time warp !
Pillows bed rather hard .!!
Wonderful location, remote setting by the sea edge, though accommodation is dated it is still very comfortable. Ask for room 7 (double) which has a sofa in a nay window with a view over the sea, binoculars provided too!
Excellent location. Excellent view from bedroom on top floor. Breakfast good.
Average pub food. The meal was on our table within 10 minutes from ordering.
Great Spot. Friendly staff
Location Views Relaxed atmosphere
spacious, comfortable room, could change room at last minute, good view, good breakfast
Stunning location and scenery. Nice breakfast No pretence real North Devon pub/hotel
Bit pricey for what it is (but will still go back).
The view, the atmosphere, the sunset, and the food.
The location above everything else, with our room overlooking the sea and coastline. Also the relaxed and informal ambience of the hotel with a good standard and tasty food offering.
Was unable to get comfortable in the double bed I had that evening
Right next to the sea on the rugged North Devon coast. Right on the SW Coast path providing an essential stop over between Bude and Clovelly. Good food in the bar at night.
Charging per person per night instead of by the room. No shower, only a bath. Wifi only in the bar and restaurant. Rooms could do with an upgrade.
The location is awesome. Amazing coastline on the doorstep and stunning views from the room. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast is good.
Would have been nice to have a shower in the room. Would prefer to have dinner options within the restaurant (food available in adjoining pub)
Location of the hotel and view from my room were amazing.
dining room was too quiet for me as a single traveller. Selection of non cooked food at breakfast was poor. Hotel needs some serious updating. Pub food at the hotel is very average
Great cooked breakfast, professional very friendly and helpful staff in a fantastic location, great for walks, photography, surfing, will def becoming back! Thank you!
Nothing not to like
In the middle of fantastic nature with numerous geological attractions.
Only and very minor point: I had no signal on my mobile.
Location location location. The room was large, cosy and comfy. Quiet nights sleep.
Nowhere near enough staff. Waiting for someone to sign us in, waiting for breakfast (only one member of staff serving in a packed breakfast room.) Waiting to sign out similar problems.
The evening meal. The beers.
The views and ambience were really good
We arrived on a very hot day. The car park was crowded and the hotel over-run with locals using the beach and hotel facilities. We couldn't get a table for dinner inside so had to eat at a trestle table outside. It was not what we expected for the 100 pounds it cost us. The Wi fi only worked in the main bar which was totally packed with visitors. The staff in the morning told us we had already paid. We could not check as there was no Wi fi or phone signal. We then received many emails telling us we hadn't paid. Booking .com was of no use in resolving this. It was only sorted out by our direct contact with the hotel.
fantastic location and natural beauty
wind was causing window to rattle. roads were a bit scray as one car width only.
The magnificent position being so close to the ocean. The quaint beautiful hotel We felt very very special staying there. We will recommend to our family and friends
We only spent one night would have loved to have seen the tide out. We would have also enjoyed taking some of the walks and taking up the offer of the lunch picnics
The location was perfect as an escape and getting back to basics. The landscape is ruggedly beautiful no matter the weather. We had pounding seas and strong wind with occasional squawks this all added to the beauty of this place. Walking the high cliffs was a real experience.
The whole experience lived up to the expectation we formed from the Booking.com description. Great location fantastic views. Our hotel room 17 were a very good size and had great views for the hotel rooms, the cottage may have been better from see the windows from the out side. The pub was busy and the food was excellent. Very good sizes and value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Not able to spend more time there.
Waking up to amazing views and large rooms
Breakfast had little choice and receptionist forgot my dietary requirements so didn't get much of a breakfast
