Food was good
No WiFi even after asking 4 times for it to be corrected
Lovely old pub with great atmosphere and good beer
Bedroom window drafty and room in need of some TLC particularly the bathroom where the bath panel was starting to rot
Excellent food - both breakfast and evening. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room window was falling apart and was unsafe to open. There were no chairs/seats of any kind in the room.
food was good with a good menu. Bar was busy as was the dining room. I think really a walkers pub with rooms.
Room radiator that was only hot for the bottom 2 inches. The wet towels were neatly folded on the bath on Sunday,no where to hang them to dry. Only 1 bath sheet and 2 small bath towels for the second person. Mix up with the family booking which meant 2 of our group stayed in a room in an annex.
Friendly staff good location
Room and bed
Good beer choice and pub grub
Breakfast limited 8-9
Low cost of single room, ample breakfast and main course for evening meals, both good for a days walking on the moors. The hotel has its own ample private parking. Only a short walk into Settle.
Difficult to close bedroom door and the door didn't fit properly in the door frame, resulting a large gap allowing noise from the corridor, the bathroom doesn't have an extractor fan so, lot of condensation in bathroom due to shower
The room was clean and comfortable.A good selection of tea coffee etc.
the big roaring fire and the full breakfast
Dog friendliness. Warmth of welcome. Great views out the back of the hotel. Quiet night as well considering it was above a pub. Landlady Barbara's full face of makeup at both 2300hrs & 0800hrs and her ability to answer any question with the words "lovely" or "perfect" deserve five stars on their own!
Nothing I didn't like. Great night away.
For the money I paid this was a bargain, room was great food great and staff and locals really friendly A*
staff friendly, lovely room, everything as it should be, lovely lady who waited on the breakfast tables
a little bit noise from other guests, but, did not effect the over all experience, of a very pretty village, i would stay again
Nice to stay in a pub. In a good location for some lovely walks and scenery and on the edge of a nice village/town
Pub quiz on a Sunday was a bit noisy and seemed to go on forever! It was a bit chilly in our room and noisy from the wind outside.
Food and service were v.good
draughts in the bedroom !
The staff at the harts head inn are very friendly from start to finish. We had a lovely dinner at night at a good price.the room was a good size with everything you would expected tea coffee and even hot chocolate facilities in the room. The bathroom was a good size the towels and bed covers and sheets were lovely and clean. But we will the best to last the breakfast i would say is the best i have tasted in any place i have ever stayed. It was freshly cooked none of this buffet style for what we paid this was a great value place to stay thanks again to the staff at the harts head inn from matt and margaret
Lovely cozy bar and very friendly. Food was excellent and very good value.
The pub was friendly and cosy with lovely food.
We was too late to have breakfast at 11.10am.
Food and staff very helpful
Food good value for money - breakfast mega, staff friendly and engaging - locals very amenable wouldn't expect anything else from Yorkshire folk!
Church bells chimed every 15mins throughout the night however there was an inner window shutter that may of helped but due to the heat in the room we neglected to close. Lack of attention to detail with dirty knife and no napkins in the dinning room had to keep feet on base of table stand to keep from wobbling - all minor issues, waiting staff should have been little more switched on.
Great food. Great pub.
Fantastic food and accommodation. Everyone very friendly and great pub quiz on the Sunday night. Would definitely stay there again.
Location, food staff and atmosphere were excellent
We're not informed beforehand that room was across car park and down stone steps. Heating would appear to be controlled remotely so were freezing before we got sorted.Whilst trying to sort heating got chance to look behind wardrode which needs attention as harbours a forest of spiders webs and dust.
All personnel were excellent and veryfriendly. Very varied choice of food, but all samped were excellent. Wonderful choice of beers.Excellent value for money
The pluses were so good, I would not wish to write anything negative as the Inn was so much better than the next hotel we stayed in Scarborough
We found The Hart's Head to be a nice friendly pub with decent food and a good atmosphere. Easy walk into Settle and great countryside all around to explore. Our second room had a lovely view and was very pleasant to relax in.
Our first night, we were put into a tiny room with no window in the annexe. At almost £80 a night this was unacceptable especially when we'd booked something entirely different from the website. I asked for another room on our second day which we got thankfully. However we still paid the full price for the first room.
