This is an excellent hotel in terms of value for money if you need to be in or around the Dorking area. The staff were all excellent, very helpful and courteous, the location is beautiful with quite stunning grounds and the food in the restaurant was of a very good quality yet reasonably proiced. All in all, an excellent choice for either business or a week-end break as a couple. Weddings are clearly a speciality and judging by the surroundings and my own experience, this would be an excellent choice for a venue for any special occasion. If there was one small quibble it wouyld be the lighting in the dining room which, coupled with the decor, presented a fairly cold atmosphere -the food made up for this shortcoming, however!

The room was comfortable When booking it advised that you might be in one of the lodges....what it didn't say was that it was back down the drive approx quarter of a mile. There was no offer of help with luggage even after I advised that I arrived by taxi. Once in the room it was lashing with heavy rail, when I called reception for a umbrella I was informed they were in the main hotel, I informed the lady that it was raining a quarter of a mile away from the main hotel and she didn't seem to get the jist!

Lovely building and setting but a bit like staying in an old peoples home. Cold unfriendly welcome. Rooms are very small and in need of a lick of paint. Bar snacks/food is expensive and very poor quality. I arrived at breakfast and waited for 7 mins before leaving.

The staff were effective in dealing with some problems that arose in relation to the wedding party. We were happy with the calm way they dealt with the difficulties. We certainly would consider visiting on another occasion, providing there are no major functions which limit access to hotel facilities. The location and setting are attractive, as is the main hotel building. The room and its facilities were well presented. It would be sensible to warn other guests in advance of larger events which may limit the access other guests have to facilities.

Room was a fairly good size but disappointing it wasn't in the main house which was beautiful, felt as though the hotel was used more for business event with shl training centre. Staff helpful and polite. Was surprised no mini bar in room or dvd player

The helpful Daniel and the restaurant staff. The outside of the Manor is very nice. From arriving, given room key and told where the room is. No offer of help with bag or shown. Could have tea in the lounge, but only 4 biscuits for afternoon tea, (no biscuits or even water in the room). Only heat from bathroom! No heat in the room. Staff tried to get radiator working. Said we could change rooms to one the size of the bathroom, very small. Gave us a fan heater. No sleep, noise. Dinner inedible due to excessive use of salt. The hotel is totally soul-less.

Rural, pleasant, very clean above average for this type of accommodation. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the facilities but for me the bed was too soft and on the small side. Fine for a young couple but at out stage in life we're both generously built for comfort not speed!

I got a great deal for £19 a night and at such a wonderful hotel set in nice grounds. Rooms were very comfy and well decorated. The pillows were too soft. The walls are thin and could here the couple next door talking.

Very simply put: the location.... And after a long day of activities, the bottle of argento wine from Mendoza and a lovely meal served by the sweet, smooth, simpaticissima and lovely Rebecca... Honestly her presence and efficient service in the restaurant added a lot to the location....and to my short stay at your hotel Just my stay... Too short....too short... Much to short

I liked its location and its rural feel. Our room was located at the end of the drive in the lodge and we had to walk a distance to get to breakfast.
