Friendly helpful staff, beautiful house and grounds
Poor quality room service food, very greasy. Some ingredients need to be better quality - burger seemed low quality and greasy
The setting, the staff, the service, the quiet. It is a fab place that I have now stayed at a number of times and will do again in the future. The rooms are all so different but that just adds to the interest.
The price of breakfast! Nothing else
Bathtub and ensuite bathroom
Poor wifi poor bed expensive breakfast poor directions how to get to hotel
Staff service and food good in the bar. Didn't eat in the restaurant.
Looking a bit tired in some areas but nothing I couldn't live with.
The deal through Booking.com- very very good
After my first week i left a note about the repairs which needed doing in my room. The manager had asked for feedback. Nothing happened. Loo roll holder fell off the wall. Shower tiles needed a decent clean. All a bit scuffed and stained. My room was comfortable, had pleasant design, just needed a little attention. Worst aspect was the staff. Each night my keycard failed so I trekked back to reception. First night I waited, and waited, while the lone receptionist took a telephone order for dinner from someone driving to the hotel. Her attention was given entirely to someone who wasn't there. When I checked out I knew that my bill had been paid but checked anyway; the receptionist asked my name and room number. three minutes later she asked for them again. That's just rude. Had thought it would be fun to stay there for a long weekend but changed my mind after this week
This is one of my favourite hotels and I am delighted to recommend it. In all my numerous stays (over 20, probably) I have never had a cause of complaint with any member of staff, and I always look forward to my visit. This is real satisfaction from a real punter (:
Nothing, as usual.
I was sent to a dirty room that had not been cleaned. I was not offered an apology - and I had to wait in line with a young child whilst the receptionist dealt with a queue of wedding guests - and I still didn't get a sorry!!
no power point in bathroom, cannot plug in shaver, tooth brush or hair dryer.
The cost- wonderfully low. The style of the hotel- smart, tasteful Room was quiet, clean and the few staff I met were very friendly (Didn't eat in hotel as was out working)
Shower pressure Tiny niggle, but you did ask
there is no power point in the bathroom meaning you cannot plug in toothbrush, shaver, blow dryer etc. never came across this one before......breakfast pretty bland and basic.
The staff in reception were very helpful and attentive. The room was cosy and inviting. The situation of the hotel meant it was quiet and peaceful giving you an excellent nights sleep
Staff very helpful and setting was lovely...wedding food was nice...
Beds were too small and we rolled together as we slept..room was very small and with a cot also very tight! The bathroom was big, so really that could have been a bit smaller to make room bigger...also with a baby and pram normally hotels put us on ground floor but we were on 1 st floor... had to have windows open all the time with radiators off..still warm..
staying in the lodge
tv would not work initially , but was sorted out by a manager quickly
very friendly staff
Poor lighting in bedroom & bathroom. no shaving or make up light. lack of storage space in room no shelves. pillows very soft and uncomfortable not a weekend break hotel, only a business hotel. moved from main dining room on 2 nights due to functions. only 1 bar very limited space when funtions on.
Everything! I'm a repeat customer and love this place I recommend alot to others
My one and only complaint is the sharp corners on the tables in the room. I'm sure they'll remedy this at some point.
Excellent staff and facilities manor is a beautiful building , evening meal was very good and excellent value
Just be aware that some rooms are in seperate buildings that are not in the main manor building but the rooms are still a good standard
The room was nice, location was beautiful and general feel of the hotel was lovely, nice for a country escape.
I had booked a double room but the room I was given was very small for two people and the bed which was supposed to be a double bed was very small and more like a queen size.
Location Room Bed Bath Breakfast
Reasonable price and comfortable room.
The last time I stayed here the room was so hot I had to open the window wide. In Mid November there was NO heating at all and the room was freezing. Awful mixer for bath/shower!
Room 50 in lodge, 200 yards from hotel , no parking, next to noisy road, woken up at 5pm with delivery vans going in and out 10 yards from bedroom window Never again,, worst nights sleep ever
The price for the room we had was excellent.
Arrived for late check in to find I had been put in an annex which was disappointing as very utility. However within mins I realised I was going to have to check out due to hoffific noise from a wedding disco - no sound proof rooms here! Guests from wedding running up and down corridor outside my room so always check if a function is on is my advice. Staff did understand and were helpful about having to leave which gave me the impression its not the first time it's happened
Staff were very friendly especially after mix up with rooms.
When I went to my room someone was already in it (sat in his underpants). Was given a 2nd room that was a single despite me booking a double. Was eventually upgraded!
Noisy bathroom fan and couldn't access wifi
