Comfy..friendly and very good value
lacked any personal touches
the bed was comfortable
The taps in the bathroom need sorting water pressure was way too high and you ended up soaked & although there was a warning about very hot water because of the pressure you got burnt even when being careful.
Lovely staff, excellent location & great price.
Not much hot water on the departure day.
All the staff were very friendly and courteous. Had evening meal and breakfast, both were excellent.
No bad experience but the hotel is close to a busy main road which thankfully quietens down at night.
Comfortable double bed, spacious bar area and generous breakfast.
the people in the room above us were shouting and argueing and running round the room which kept us awake most of the night.,
everything was nice and clean.
The staff were great any problems were sorted straight away.
Easy to find from M61. Friendliness of staff, not aware of noise from the road, adequate heating, good choice and fair priced food.
the bed and the friendliness of the staff, both bar and restaurant.
It was quiet and we were not disturbed
Bathroom in room was tiny. Door to bathroom hit the toilet unless the seat was up. Toilet seat was loose. Double bed sloped up at bottom was uncomfortable. Windows were pokey. Lights were very dim.
Staff polite and nice
Food was excellent and great value for money. Rooms were cosy and clean. Staff were really friendly. All that and great value for money!!!
Cold bathroom with very draughty window and cold tap in bath not working
Comfy warm bedroom and very attentive staff in the pub. Good value food too.
Too hot. No toiletries in room. Had a power cut but no help from reception.
Couldn't get free wifi outlook from window was just overgrown mess also tight squeeze to go round bed to bathroom
Nothing. Was good value for money.
Free car park & wifi is a bonus. The accommodation was basic but clean though smelt somewhat damp. The pub is good value though breakfast was basic. Was a good location for a night stop off en route to Scotland. Quiet too considering it was next to the hospital. Staff were available, present & helpful.
Clean and comfortable
Musty smell (room 1), my daughters room was fine - needed window opening for couple of hours Bathroom needed updating eg.grout in shower
Friendly staff Excellent breakfast Good price Good location for motorway
Does not apply.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly and made me feel welcome.
The very warm and friendly welcome we received on arrival
Broken window latch (reported to staff), so was very noisy because the window didn't shut properly
Booking in/out was easy, plenty of parking
Ideally Location for what we needed it for
Rooms a bit dated
The bed springs were noisy!
The economical price for an emergency visit to nearby hospital
The room was tatty with damage to windows and the bathroom light. We only had a part used roll of toilet tissue with no spare if it ran out and no way to get a replacement. The over bed lighting was too dim to be able to read in bed.
Location. It was also clean and convenient for our purpose.
